    Dreams do come true
I had been dreaming of an app like this for a long time. One that could react to different instruments in a track separately. Imagine my surprise when I heard of this app. The progress it has seen since is spectacular and I just bought the retina refill, can’t wait to check it out. Show more

    Delivers another dimension to music
Not really interested in making videos so I was hoping it could be for use in a live setting using the iPad. To do that ios DAWs would have to be configured for video. Not aware of any but I did have success using screen mirroring to various TV displays using AUM and Camelot Pro. For live use I would think HDMI would be the way to link to external display. Stand alone should save audio file with the patch. Right now the audio file, if you loaded one, stays no matter what patch you bring up. Still gave it 5 stars as it has evolved since release and has so much potential. Show more

Awesome!!! Some ideas for future updates?
This is a really cool app! been messing around with GLSL coding for a few months, and the implementation of custom GLSL shaders is really great and intuitive in VS. There are a couple of things I would love to see added in future updates: - more ways to interact between different layers such as displacement of one layer to another and feedback loops. - post processing effects such as luma key, feedback, kaleidoscope, mirror or others. - option to load videos and images in the layers other than the B layer Maybe too much to ask? ? Impressive
Review updated to 5 Stars because the dev added the ability to import user Shaders. We can now create original art using VS. Thank you so much! The instrument is very well designed. Saving/Importing presets and source files is well executed in iOS using the native file system. VS’s features and abilities are similar to ZwoBot and EboSuite and while not as “deep” VS is extremely user friendly, intuitive, reasonably efficient and is perfect for designing and rendering multiple, frequency and rhythmic specific layers for use in final video productions. Great job Imaginando. Show more

    Materials Update ??
The materials update allows us to import fragment shaders to add more variety to our visualizations. You need to have some familiarity with shaders or have other users share their frag files. Show more

    MP3 support?
Why is there no MP3 support? Really not looking to load up my iPhone with tons of WAV/AIF files.

    4-Stars
Not the easiest app to wrap your head around. I’d give more for a step by step tutorial. I understand the object of the app, just wish it was simple enough to link my audio and use IA. Spent an hour trying to add a file then still have not figured out how to play the video file to see the generative effects. I switch to an audio app or ven Zenbeats DAW…doesn’t work in it. Can’t even see it as a plugin or an IA option either so not really sure even. It’s definitely not Nodes but then again…its just an app. But pretty to look at thats for sure. Buyer beware.. app doesn’t instruct on where to even begin. Demos are polished to entice, but leave the user confused as to how to jump in and start.. is what it is. Show more

Good for a toy, but not an actual visualizer
Until you can import your own audio I don’t see much of a point. Maybe if you’re a professional pianist that makes YouTube videos it could be a useful ?‍♂️. You can’t really do much of anything with it other than tweak knobs and experiment with synthy stuff. That’s cool if that’s your thing, but I paid the $20 for this thinking it would help my produce some high-quality visuals for my music. It’s more of just a play thing right now. You can use it on audio tracks as an auv plugin-in, but I can’t even accesss half the gui in that format on my iPhone. I requested a refund that they denied, but I would really appreciate it considering it’s $20 and I don’t even have a use for it. Show more

Let’s see this bugger git totally Breau ha!!!!
Deeper mutating possibilities for said items would be cool. I’d also like to see other textural possibilities with imported images that aren’t so techno. This thing is cool, but with such developments it can be a mind breaking monster. A warning for those prone to seizures may also be in order. Show more

Wow! Finally the video app I’ve always wanted!
This app is flat out amazing! None the less so because to my surprise it manages to run smoothly on my old iPad Air 2. I didn’t think it would. I’m sure I won’t be able to get too crazy with too many layers, but so far it does everything I need and more ... even while running as an AUv3 effect alongside other apps generating music. I’m floored! I always wanted something to easily produce video that reacts to audio being fed into it. But VS goes even further by reacting to midi input as well. There are four LFOs that can add undulations and all kinds of movement free running or in sync with musical tempo. I’m just completely amazed at this app. Thank you so much imaginando! Show more

    Apt Help Doesn’t Work
Online documentation is for the desktop version. Settings are completely different in app. In app help doesn’t work. You might try a little less piazzas and a little more testing. For help not to work is inexcusable. Your online manual needs to be a PDF and for the iOS version. When using VSVS as a AUv3 you need to cover the whole display. What good are great graphics when you still display the AUM stuff at the top and the app’s menus and resize bar? It completely destroys the esthetics! You could use two-finger double tap. The only reason I gave you 4-stars is I like your granular synth. Show more
