    AUv3
For Xmas, I’m asking Santa to get those wonderfully creative yet frustratingly stubborn folks at KORG to bring AUv3 connectivity to their awesome lineup of apps. Seriously guys, just one more step to perfection Show more

    AUv3 update please
As a Prosumer and Mobile Content Creator I believe that all Korg apps would benefit from the inclusion of AUV3. On the customer side it would allow us to be far more creative on the fly and credit Korg. On the Korg side of this lack of functionality, the Dev team could create new revenue streams from aging apps by way of charging more for this inclusion. (New customers only) Korg would also have far more creative’s buy IAP because it would become more versatile. I also believe that you doing so would still increase Korg hardware sales because we all grow. Just a idea from a a supporter of the Korg brand. I know you guys do actually read feedback and any update on this would be game changing for Mobile creative types. *Side note* Most of the competitors have released the AUV3 function, please don’t allow such a legendary brand fall to the bottom of the Mobile field. Having been a past wavestation owner years ago
This app is AWESOME really it rocks more sounds and better than owning the real thing tearing presets apart you can get so many different sounds

Incredible synth…. That needs to be AUv3.
I’ve used hardware Wavestations for decades. My go to synth for pads and soundscapes. Korg did an amazing job with this app. You can even import patch banks. The ONLY thing lacking is AUv3 support. I would buy it again at full price if it was AUv3. Show more

    Impressive
This is a great-sounding app, full of amazing presets, and a heckuva lot of customization potential. My one complaint is about the GUI, and it is an easy one to fix - PLEASE Korg, add the ability to search through the presets, and perhaps even tag them for categorization. You did it in the iM1 app; can you please do the same for IWAVESTATION?? Show more

    AUv3 Pleeze! ?
Sorry but I don’t use Gadget and never will. It just doesn’t work for me. But your stand-alone synths are awesome and need to be AUv3! Needs to be AUv3!

    Superb
Literally just needs AUV3 support. Since Electribe already got this love from Korg, I won’t rate their other apps 5 stars until those are too. Sorry Korg, AUV3 is the future and regardless of the quality of your software, it is only as strong as your weakest link. Right now, that is the lack of AUV3. That being said, this is a FANTASTIC SYNTH. Like pretty much all of them Korg Synths... Show more

A bit confusing, but seems really capable
I am actually well versed in synthesis and sound design, but this app is like a mind bending riddle to me. It is SO DIFFERENT from the typical analog, analog/digital hybrid, or digital FM based synths I am used to working with. The loops, the mixing, filtering, envelopes and effects chains concept seems so simple when you consider that these are all factors of a normal synth workflow, but with the different loop combinations and vector morphing considered, there are probably a billion different sounds you could program this to make, and not even be halfway to the bottom of the river of potential. I know this is going to take me a while to master, but I also know it will be worth it. Thanks Korg for putting this on sale! $15 was a pretty good deal for such an incredibly deep sound synthesis application. Show more

Why do I have silent patches?
Love the sounds. Not much to complain about except several blank patches with no sound. Any ideas? Like card four.... Orch Hit!! Voxy synth. House bass. Why are these silent? Show more

Best iOS synth app out there
This app is easily worth $1,000. I have an Arturia 4 octave midi controller running this and it really effectively uses the after touch. I have on top of a Roland Fantom 8 and it matches the sound complexity and depth of the Fantom & it’s just an iPad app. They have killer drum sounds. It would be great if they linked it to the iELECTRIBE. I have practically every iOS synth app out there & this is the best for a live musician. Show more

Bugs appearing on new iOS versions
This app is great, the development has been well established and this is still the best iteration of the Wavestation currently on the market. But as time goes on, and as Korg continues to avoid AUV3 implementation, it seems that compatibility problems are becoming more and more an issue. Outside of buggy OMNI/MIDI channel issues, one has cropped up that has made the app mostly unusable - many of the waveforms do not output any sound. Reinstalling does not work, restoring data packs does not work. Most of the stock patches and sounds do still work, but the vast majority of “CARD” waveforms do not make any sound. Now the app is only half functional. Hoping Korg can figure out what’s wrong with these files so that full functionality can be restored. Show more

    Crackles on my phone.
I have this app for my iPads, and it works fine. A little awkward, but it’s good to go. On my phone? The output crackles and pops. Nothing I’ve tried will fix it. Don’t get it for your phone if that’s your plan. Show more

    Magical sounding and Unique
Which is what I’ve come to expect with every separate purchase of a Korg product ...and as far as versatility,...if I only use the presets on gadget ,i-wavestation, And Module I will never run out of fresh new instruments needed for great parts to any song. ...so I am personally 100% satisfied. Genius work Korg. Show more

    How Do I Even Record?
It has a lot of good pads, but how am I supposed to make music with them if I can’t record or layer them? Did I just seriously waste 30 dollars for this? Show more

    Ehh
How long has the iPhone X, XS, & Max been out and this app still doesn’t take advantage of the larger screen size? Imagine how much more useful the keyboard could be if the space was utilized. Show more

    Awesome, but...
This app is super deep and sounds really good, but I have noticed when it’s receiving midi clock, it will sometimes slowly drift out of time from the host tempo if you sustain a note long enough. I’m running 1.0.7, which states midi clock works properly. I know it’s not a routing error, because I haven’t experienced this with any other app using the exact same routing. Despite that, I think this is a great app. I really love the randomize function for kickstarting patch building. Show more

    Very close to Original EX
Sounds very close to the original. The updated GUI makes editing way easier than the original and VST. Hopefully the VST version will get this interface eventually.

    Good while it lasted ?
Love all the korg synth app products , was enjoying this one as well till it stopped sending any audio out , I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it to no avail. Tried to look up any remedies online from Korg but nothing was there to help . Show more

A Worthy Classic Made Even Better
The Wavestation has always been a complex, beautiful beast. Adam Holzman (of the Miles Davis group, et al) was one of my electronic music students at Occidental College back in the 1970s and it was he who introduced me to the Wavestation a few years after he graduated. At the time digital synthesis was all the rage, modualrs were dying out and even analog keyboard synthesizers were showing weak in the marketplace. Then along came the Wavestation. Adam was such a brilliant keyboardist, composer and synth-geek that I had to take his recommendation seriously. I was not disappointed. I found that the Wavestation was deep enough that even the nerdiest, modular synthwonks (such as myself) could love it. It sounded rich enough that it made several movie soundtracks better and it was playable enough to have been dragged onto countless stages. While it was most often found in studios, as a live performance instrument it gave us enough sythowhacky horsepower to do what would have required a mini-van full of synthesizers and other gizmos to produce only a few years before it’s blessed advent. The Wavestation was never a deeply interactive synthesizer, however. It was a set-it-and-forget-it, preset machine. Interacting live with its deeper sound design features in a performance situation was simply out of the question. The iWAVESTATION preserves ALL of the Wavestation’s features -including the great sound, excellent effects actually expands on the original’s playability, using the keyboard, mod and pitch wheels and joystick- by adding a Kaos Pad. You get al this while at the same time reducing the physical footprint of a Wavestation to something a bit larger than the average cell phone. Simply amazing. Furthermore, the interface is even better than any hardware version of Korg’s original WS (and there were several). The iPad interface allows a far bigger, more accessible screen as a means to get at the sound design tools and all the other synth-goodness inherent in the original Wavestation. The addition of the Kaos Pad interface and the inclusion of so many additional samples and presets and tuning files, etc. all add up to make this even better than the original. There are a couple of downsides to the iWAVESTATION. One is the inherent complexity of the synthesis engine; but that is also one of the Wavestation’s many advantages. Secondly, as a keyboard instrument ...well, just use a MIDI keyboard or controller. The on-screen keyboard, like all other iPad virtual synthesizers, is nearly useless. Its okay for use during sound-design and not much more. I DO wish that Korg would take advantage of the iPad screen as a performance surface and add a keypad interface - something like what you see on the AniMoog and the TeraSynth and Thor and so many others. But set this puppy up right with a MIDI keyboard and a good sound system, flip over to the Kaos Pad/Joystick screen and I swear you can actually FLY with this thing. The iWAVESTATION is so good that I sold my Wavestation EX so that I could buy a big, fat, new iPad Pro 12.9 incher to go beyond where the EX could take me. Show more
