This app has been most helpful in my podcast production. It is quite simple and straightforward in it’s use.

I am semi-competent with software & was lookimg for an audiio file mgt program. Boson was right on -- their excellent app. with manual led me through the required steps to create lengthy audio files. They have a nice step by step cookbook section on the most regularly used outcomes their app produces. Also a lot of help with other internet materials that will enhanc the performance of the app. A must buy, particularly if your dinner conversation does not include "bit rate subtleties." Show more

Like most say, it is quirky yet is so very versatile. I use it constantly and like not love. I want to love this app. I recently updated to monteray and now it will not record internet or anything. I'll check to see if there is a soundflower update needed. I hope that's all it needs. If anyone knows the answer I would be gratefull. Thanks! Boson Team. Show more

Great App...

Have been using for several months. The single biggest flaw is that after recording you must immediatly save the file before playing it back to listen and edit. If you just play it back then it closes the app at the end and the recording is lost. This is a serious bug but once you realize it it is just a routine thing. I do forget and lose recordings. Save your recording! Show more

I like the app it's easy learn and easy-to-use. Does everything I wanted to and more. Just remember to save your work before you listen to it all away to the end, because sometimes when it reaches the end the app closes and you lose your work. Lets hope they will fix the problem in the next update version. Show more

I was trying to edit a long .wav and every 5 min. it crashes

Very poor decision not to include iCloud Drive, SoucnCloud or Spreaker integration. Just a basic recorder with a nice UI and effects!

I have ‘never’ had an app that absolutely did not work. This absolutely does not work. I want my money back. When trying to edit or play, just get error messages. Show more

Boson is an absolutely wonderful app. What I use it for is to take the recorded sermon (it records in .wav with our system), convert to mono, save as mP3 and upload it to the website so anyone can listen. The only problem is not with Boson, but with the website which only allows 30 mB of uploading, so when my long-winded Pastor talks longer than 20 minutes, I have to write in all my metadata again in order to ‘Save As’ something less in order to upload it. Luckily, Boson is capabable of making the recording less than optimum in order to accomplish that. I just don’t like writing in everything all over again and I can’t predict whether it will be less than 30 mB when I save as an mP3. Show more

This app does what I need it to do and does it well. The only issue I have had with it is that it will often crash when I highlight and cut part of the track toward the end of the file. Annoying, but that is the only problem I have had. Show more

Cashes all the time. I’ve lost recordings. Big problem. Otherwise fine. Try another app.

ok was us Amadeus Lite which was pricey and had to reinstall after a foul up with payment …nobiggie .. but after a drive and ram upgrade i had a choice .well the Boson was cheaper so that was a basic limitation, i am broke lol, so took the chance for 20 bucks and got a more navagavble tool for recording …. basically i got more than A,Lite and for HALF THE MONEY got all the features of Amadeus Pro! soi am very satisfied thus far…i reccomend this product …. I tried a bunch of audio editors but this one has all the features I need and works smoothly on my Retina MBP. In a recent update the devs added support for 3rd party audio plugins so you’re not limited to the built in audio effects any more. Which is a huge plus and gives a lot of freedom! Show more

I kinda like this program, I mean the look and feel ( had to find something new to use, since Audacidy was broken in El Capitan ). I don’t like not haveing a working file, ( must save to a music file?) I don’t like that the program crashes EVERYTIME I use it. The first two recordings I finished recording and started working on the file before saving, big mistake, like I said IT ALLWAYS CRASHES! Lost all my work, had to rerecord… I need it to work like a race horse everytime. Show more

I bought this becasue in the free version, you can only save files in Boson’s file-format. You can’t Export to MP3 unless you buy the $20 version. That was REALLY annoying but having tried it out i went a head and bought the Pro version. I do pretty simple editing, so i don’t need a bunch of bells and whistles. But i DO need precision graphics. Unfortunatly the graphics for the sound wave are very subpar. When you zoom in tightly for a close edit the graphics look like they are still rendering. Even after the update. I have a new computer too so i know it’s not me. Other than that the pro version does what i need to. The graphics are just really frustrating. Show more
