Good but keyboard doesn’t offer correct range
I really like this for learning to recognize notes quickly. However, the keyboard for piano is not expansive enough. There should be separate keyboard for treble and bass clefs. For example, ledger notes in treble clef can only be found on the keyboard an octave below because the keyboard ends before the ledger notes can be played. It confuses the brain to have to translate the played note to the one that is an octave below. Otherwise the app is great! Show more

    Better after five minutes.
Adult beginner learning to memorize notes rather than rely on finger numbers. I’m using it in the most basic way and already improving. I can practice anywhere without sound. I recommend it for beginners. Show more

Great free and ad-free note trainer for bass & treble clefs
After just a few daily sessions of a few minutes each I’m getting faster.

    So good!!
I am a clarinetist and I wanted to learn bass clef since I haven’t read any before. Exactly what I was looking for! 10/10 very free.

    Wonderful Musical Tool
I absolutely love NoteBrainer. It helps me recognize the notes on the staff which helps with my sight-reading.

    Best App for Reading Music!!
Not only is this a brilliant resource for learning how to read, you can also fine then your ear! On top of that, it’s free!! I couldn’t have asked for another feature and all of them work great. I would HIGHLY recommend this app to pretty much anyone that wants to learn and understand a bit more about the notes that they are playing. Show more

    Can’t quit
There’s no quit button and it won’t let me swipe it away on iPhone. Also the keyboard forces you to play in the Erin octave.

    Midi doesn’t connect
All my other apps use midi except for this one even though it says it uses it. I really want to play on my electronic piano while guessing the notes. What gives? Show more

I uhhhhh...... can’t read sheet music that well.
This app has helped me get better at reading music for my keyboard rather than relying on those YouTube videos where they have the link toe light lines that fall down the screen. Show more

    Very good App.
This is a very good App. Very simple, no complicated menus, no unnecessary graphics, no multicolored visuals to distract - overall a good App. I suggest the developers to add rhythm training too. Show more

    Stupid
I press xorrect notes and say it’s wrong

    Useless for what I need
I was hoping to learn to read music but this app assumes you already know it and just quizzes you. I cant be quizzed on something I haven’t learned. Also in the settings you have the option to change your instrument but that only changes what you hear; you’re still working with a piano interface. Show more

It's a lot of fun. But; I get nervous at times and make mistakes. After many years of loving to sing and listen to music, I’m finally learning how to read the notes instead of having to depend on having someone play a song/ or sing a song for me first. Show more

    The sound disappeared
This app started out really well. However after I had it for a day or two, the sound stopped working and I couldn’t hear the note that was shown. I deleted it then reinstalled it but the results were the same. I would really like to use this app but without the sound it’s not useful to me. Can someone fix this please. Show more
