When this app works, it is the single most helpful songwriting app I’ve found. However, MANY times I will record something only to have the app quit and not save what I recorded. I would pay a lot to have a better working version of this app. Show more

Easy to bang out tunes what more do you need. It’s great!!

Only 9 chords available at one time.. would be nice to have a screen of all chords one can scroll down and sample.

I have loved this app for years and will give full five stars if they will continue to support. It no longer makes any sound. I haven’t found any app that does what this can do so I hope they update it soon!! Show more

This app is awesome but it seems to lack support. When it works, it is an awesome app for songwriting. One major issue that I am discovering is that it continually deletes my songs! The whole point of the office so that you can quickly jot down some cord progressions for him some tunes for later and if it cannot save those simple things, It's pretty much useless. When I go to load an old song, it does not load any of my songs even though it shows that there is a file that is saved. If the developer would spend a little time working on this app and making sure that songs are saving properly, I would definitely change my review to a 5. One other thing that is extremely annoying is when you close the app in return to the app, it brings you back to the home screen where you have to either resume a song or start a new song. They need to change that as soon as possible as well. Show more

I highly recommend this app to my songwriting students. It really facilitates the process and allows you to easily customize and alter suggestions given to your own taste. Well done!

Love it! Perfect for when I get stuck and need to find a chord or work out a quick melody idea.

I like this app, but there are a few things I really wish they'd change: I wish the 'new song' button would take me to the screen where you choose the key instead of the default C key screen. Also, I wish I could choose the chords that I wanted to use for a particular song. Nothing too complicated, I'd just like to be able to throw in a II or a iv chord here and there. Speaking of Roman numerals, it would be cool if I could choose to use them instead of just the Arabic numerals. Another reviewer mentioned that they wish you could select minor tonality, and I agree this would be a big improvement, since you miss out on altered harmony when just using the relative major key. Lastly, almost half the time I try to use it it won't make sound. My phone is new, yes the volume is up, so what's going on? Show more

Beware no minor keys.. Huge oversight & not worth the money!

Love the app. When I need ideas on chord progressions for new material on the go or if I need to transpose to a new key and transcribe on the fly this app is my go to. Show more

Helpful app to tap out some chords with the melody in my head when I'm not around my instruments. Needs: 1) tap tempo. I want to at least be able to hear the tempo before recording. 2) exporting feature. I want to send an audio file by SMS or email. Also, great feature to record through the microphone while recording chords. But I have two saved files and they both use the last microphone audio file, so not sure what went wrong there, but excellent start nonetheless. Show more

Overall very useful app, but I can't export what I write.

When I am standing in line or on the bus and get a musical idea, I use this app to quickly play through the chords I think may work and this helps me change a progression or get more ideas. This is easy to use and cannot image why anyone would not love this app as much as me. Keep Playing - Keep Learning Show more
