I have had several upgrades to this suite of audio tools for YEARS. And it is still woefully out of date, klunky to use, and skips over ease-of-use features built into the tablet’s operating system. Installing again after a rebuild of an iPad Pro, I restore purchases, get feedback they have been restored, but when I open up individual apps, they act like they are not upgraded, and features are grayed out that I bought, and the app settings indicate I bought them. Useful and so far as tested, very accurate. Learning curve is quick, even amateurs can use this. I do wish you could add “favorites” to the homepage of the app; I cannot be alone in that I use 3 of the tools most often, 1 occasionally and the rest not at all; would be great to access them with less click fatigue. Love this app

Really not that accurate even when paired with a good mic. You pay $20 for minimal version of SOME the required apps. Want the whole package? It’s like $400 to unlock everything. For that price you can buy a small tablet PC and use REW which is FAR better than this inaccurate garbage. Save the headache and save the money. Avoid! Show more

My first audio analyzer purchase (1979) was an Ivie IE-10A handheld octave band analyzer and IE-20 pink noise generator. The cost was $918.75. That was a lot of money to me, for a tool that has a small fraction of the utility of base AudioTools. Since then, I’ve spent many thousands of dollars on hardware TEF20, Sencore SP395 (fully unlocked), NTI audio products, as well as all upgrades of Smaart starting from version 1 to 8. My relatively small investment In AudioTools, iTestMic2, and iAudioPre2 deliver the utility and functionality and portability, replacing dedicated hardware and software for most of my measurement needs. I’ve taken advantage of Studio6Digital’s holiday sale to purchase the entire suite of tools, and appreciate their attention to addressing bugs, upgrades, and new features. Only issue I have is every time I use it I have to re register the app or if there is an upgrade. Just a hassle. App works fine.

Almost all the included tools are avail free elsewhere with better interfaces

Seems like a good set of tools but to pay $19.99 for a tool kit and find things like a simple DB meter is an in-app $2.99 purchase upgrade is annoying and intolerable. Just about anything you may truly need is going to cost you extra. The $19.99 gets you a few tools and the ability to look at what the rest is going to pick your pocket for. Some of the higher priced tools are an extra $50 dollars. So if you load this toolbox up it’s going to cost you what you’d pay for this software running on dedicated hardware, rather than an iPhone or iPad where you already paid for the hardware inside it. Don’t bother. If you want to pay that much purchase a high end dedicated sound analytic device. Show more

Whether your novice, or your working class on a budget like myself. This app gives you flexibility to expand as your finance changes. With add on modules as low as 5 bucks on up you can’t go wrong. Buying some computer programs are expensive at the start up. Sometimes not with the features you want them to have. With this app, I can pick and choose when I desire to. And the pockets don’t get emptied. The best part of all has to be, the demo of the module you want to buy. This is so very useful to those unsure of its operation. I initially rated this app low because it crashed on launch with my iPad Air 3. But the developer contacted me and asked me to try a beta version of the app that might solve the problem. The beta version worked great and they immediately released that version. Terrific customer service to resolve an issue. As for how the app works... I’m new to this so I’m still trying to figure out how to take measurements and how to use this information to make improvements to my home theater system. But the app seems to work well with the limited experience and knowledge I have at this point. Show more

This is a professional level app. The quality is superb. If topiary only looking for RTA and/or FET, then yes, there are free apps that work just as good. However, Audio Tools offer different upgrades as your expertise increases. This way, as your skill level increases, you have the opportunity in purchase upgrades so all the apps you use will be in one location. That for me is a HUGH plus.. Show more
