    Wow it’s still here!
Was watching a moog documentary today and I remembered this amazing app. Thanks for keeping it going it’s a hidden jewel of the App Store.

    longevity
I remember downloading this app years ago. It's still consistently one of the best iOS apps I have ever used and it is still updated. This is my first review for an app. you can make ridiculous catchy beats in less than 1 minute of learning the app. Fantastic. Show more

Great chip tune style drum/tone machine.
This is a very simple and easy to use app but surprisingly flexible and fun! It's Definitely a great tool for jams and idea sketching or creating drum sections for a chip tune vibe. Cool! I'm surprised it's free! Gj to the maker! Show more

    Solid beats!
And a helpful hint to the players out there - you can manually enter tempo up to 999 BPM, despite what the slider suggests. Have fun!

    Give us Tap Tempo!
Super fun and way easy to use. It's a techno wonderland. Only thing that would make it better would be a tap tempo!

    Even better
I've loved this app since my first iPhone. Now with ableton link, it just got even better!

    What a fantastic little app!
I have whiled away hours playing with this deceptively powerful drum machine. And I know that I will continue to do so.

    Such a good time
Love this app and the sounds it can make. Total steal at this price. Now with MIDI sync. It's so simple and brilliant. ?

    Drum synthy-ness!
Update: One thing I wish this had: a way to make cleaner loops. An export function to export a specific number of bars would be terrific. Still a 5 star app. Fun drum synth. Not too complicated. I always have problems when too many options are given. In this drum synth, the options are enough to remain interesting while not making the process overly complex. The sounds are good. It's mono, not stereo. I love that. Oddly addictive. Keep going back to it. This can add a lot to your mix if you play with it. For $.99, you can't beat it. Show more

    Excellent drum synth app
I've played with quite a few drum and pattern-based music apps, but this one is my favorite. The interface is straightforward and intuitive and the more in-depth features (being able to type the tempo, MIDI sync, etc.) give it an actual usability as part of a setup. The parameters are all tasteful and useful. While being a mono synth may seem limiting for drum patterns, it keeps the app from getting over complicated and allows for full view of everything that's happening all at once. Freedom to have any color be any sound you want allows for great expression where other drum machines and apps have you tied down. Thanks, and I look forward to continuing my use of this app in my music production. Show more

    Great! UPDATE 2015
IAA plus MIDI plus Audiobus??!! WOW - greater than ever! Just ran it through ToneStack in AudioShare. Very nice!! Still great - even greater with the new features. All my requests below have been added and then some. Nice! The ability to record to aiff and the stop/start button are all this needed. OK -audio copy/paste would be nice. Randomize and customize some loops, export them and further tweak in the DAW of your choice (Caustic anyone?). This is not your tired old drum machine! Show more

    Great app
It's easy to create a beat, randomize it and come up with long sequences that have lots of variation on the theme. I would highly recommend this app for people who love to randomize beats and find new ideas. Excellent. Show more

Predecessor to SeekBeats; simple, but fun!
I considered giving TweakyBeat a 4-star rating, but considering its age, the degree to which it's been maintained by the developer, and its low price and file size, I think it is worthy of a 5-star rating. Let's be clear - this is a mono synthesizer with a 16-note grid - it isn't a drum kit or even a drum machine. But as the name suggests, there is quite a bit of tweak-ability to the limited sounds offered therein. The different color panels basically represent preset synthesizer instruments. Some of them have a "boom" sounds like a bass drum, while some have more of a click or white noise sound that can be modeled into a snare or cymbal/hi hat. A few others sound like space effects from an 80's Casio Keyboard. These can be molded quite a bit using wavelength and filter adjustments. There's also a universal overdrive and bitcrush adjustment, which is cool. I'm pretty sure that only instrument can play on any given beat, and the overall sound profile is fairly limited to that retro vibe, but it works and sounds good. This is yet another example of an older iOS music app that was basically a cool little novelty, but was later supported with AudioBus and morphed into a quasi-legitimate instrument. However, if you're at all interested in the retro/synth percussion sound, check out SeekBeats, which is the excellent newer app from this same developer. That app is more expensive but became an instant favorite with its step sequencer and the deeper customization options for synth instruments. Still, TweakyBeat is cheap, good fun! Show more

    Awesome
Great fun. Needs midi sync though.

    great drum synth/machine app
I would never have thought that anything this limited (a monophonic, albeit very changeable per beat, drum synth) could be so creative and inspirational. I hope people will continue to buy it, and that the dev will continue to develop it. Randomizing of drum patterns might be a nice start, perhaps with three settings (sparse, normal, dense) for pattern creation. Also, IAA might be nice. But as it is, this is a great app. Show more
