Used to work now no sound

    Well done.
I’ve had this app on two phones over several years. I’m surprised to see low ratings from some but I guess they didn’t know what Uilleann pipes were.

    Nice idea but useless
The PWM generating the tones creates horrible sidebands , at least on my iPhone 7. Especially given that pitch is also a product of overtones , and that the user can choose to add intervals - and not consonant with the overtones generated in the fundamental - those overtones make this useless. Ewww! Show more

    Not good
The pitch is way too low. Maybe if you're playing tuba it would be useful. No way to adjust the octave. Save your 99 cents for something else.

    A very nice app
It does everything that it promises and has some really cool features. The only complaint that I have is that the ui could use some updating.

    Very abrasive tone
Can't imagine practicing to this; one of the worst sounds I've ever heard.

Good features; sound is not for me
You can choose all twelve keys as well as put a couple intervals on to the root note, and fine tune the pitch up or down 50 cents. That being said, I do not like the sound one bit. Check out the demo on the website and make sure you can deal with the tone cos it is odd to play along with in my opinion. Show more

It works perfectly with the built-in speaker!
Trumpet13, the drones work perfectly with the speakers. If you don't hear anything from them, it's because the mute switch on your iPhone is on. It's the very first thing listed on the app's support website FAQ, Show more

    Needs support for internal speaker
Mostly fine, but drones do not sound through the iPhone's speaker. It can only be used with an external sound device such as headphones or speakers. This is an issue for me as I prefer to play without wearing headphones and portability is affected by needing an external speaker. Show more

    Great app for intonation exercises
Love the app but would be better if the drone continued to play when you turned the screen off. But other than that, no complaints!

    Not worth paying for
Not at all what I expected. Noise sounds computer generated and is impossible to tune to. Don't waste your money.

    Really useful
I just bought this and I'm really impressed. Very nice for intonation and impovisation practice, especially for strings players.

    Solid
Good app-the drones are incredibly useful when working on tuning, and the complex waveforms (not just straight sine waves) are a big plus. Only four stars because the design isn't the best (the on/off button is too big, the note buttons are too small, and landscape orientation would be nice) and it would be nice to have multiple octaves. To the person asking for e flat-play d sharp, close your eyes, and you'll hear e flat :-) Show more

    Missing notes
This app really needs e flat and a flat!

    Love the drones
Stable app that is just what it says it is. The tunability factor is awesome. Helpful update to make: As a singer, it would be more usable to me if it was possible to have an additional octave for both sets of drones. Show more

    Cool, but
A few more options wouldn't hurt

    Good Practice Tool
I love using this app while practicing Celtic fiddling. The sound and tone quality are great! I think that many give low ratings because they download it without realizing what it is exactly. It's exactly what the title says it is: "Just drones" This is a really nice tool for those musicians out there looking for a pitch reference while playing. I think it's a very neat app. Show more

    Good...but...
Some modulation ability would be nice. Perhaps some reverb? Good tone, though :-)
