    Worthless
Don’t get this app it didn’t work
  • sdub206, 22.04.2018
Near impossible to close the app
Would be 4 stars otherwise. Doesn't seem to be compatible with modern iOS versions and even worse on the X

    DREAM APP
I always wrote songs, but never knew the notes to write it on sheet paper, so I asked Siri if there were apps that could do what this app does. I downloaded Magic Stave, and could record my songs. Show more

Exactly what i was looking for
I have never had a music lesson in my life but compose tunes by humming them. This app helps me match humming notes to piano keys. It can sometimes be 1/2 note above or below but still a huge help for me. Many thanks to the developer. Show more

    Awesome!
Wow this is so awesome! It detects what note I am singing and shows it on a music staff and on a keyboard! It is really well done!

Turns every note into a random note
I try to record my compositional melody from music I have made in the past. It's notes are in a standard scale. There aren't any odd sounds, because it's a SINE WAVE!!! So, Magic Stave Free decides that on ANY fundamental value, that the MIDI notes are to randomly jump up and down on the keyboard, regardless of their actual note. What kind of software is this? Don't make a claim to do something you can't. I'm not recording only a piano or a violin and I do not have a SOUNDPROOFED chamber. What a crock. Show more

    EXCELLENT
This is precisely what I'm looking for. I could use this for Nano Studio

    I'm impressed
I've only had this app for a few days, but judging by reviews it must be MUCH improved over previous versions. It works like magic and has not crashed my 4S. You can easily choose different keys and signatures. I'm considering an upgrade to the non-free version, but this one may have everything I need. Show more

    Total BS.

Agreed that 8 notes is all it knows but still pretty good

    The reason why
If you have 4.0.2, you must update your ipod touch etc once done it will work... If not i guess its only a few

    Crashes
I wish I could try the app; since I upgraded it it crashes on startup. I see I'm not the only one; PLEASE fix! (iPhone 3G, iOS 4.0.2)

    Very nice, I like...
I'm a singer in a barber shop quartet and we often need to check our pitches. This App is brilliant as it resolves all our arguments about who is in tune or not. I've been using it most days and it's never crashed. Show more

great pitch recognition display for my theremin!
It recognized pitches in various octaves for my theremin, voice, and piano after a very slight delay. Line-in input can be used with a standard a/v cable (rca to mini-jack) that plugs into the headset jack (red=input, yellow=right out, white=left out). I'm going to use it as pitch recognition for my theremin after making the etherwave mod to have the seperate pitch output before the volume antenna. Until I do the mod I'll get by using a volume pedal. AWESOME APP!! Lots of uses! The music notepad feature looks great, I'm sure I'll use that too. Show more
