Worthless app. It looks like the company behind this app is bankrupt and defunct. App doesn’t work.

Takes forever to load. Just says “Connected” but is required for making updates for my car.

i have no business writing this review tbh, but after seeing all these poor subaru owners. man. i downloaded this app bc my mazdas entertainment menu has a list of options such as bluetooth, apple car play, pandora, and of course aha. i’ve had this car for a good few months and my curiosity about this uncapitalized “entertainment” option was jus really rubbing me the wrong way. downloaded it. didn’t read the reviews at that time, but yea this apps useless. the app does nothing more for me other than literally show u it’s launching screen it never boots the app up fully Show more

The only reason I have Aha is because it allows for OTA updates on my factory Subaru StarLink radio. I find that it auto launches every time I connect my phone despite the fact that I have already selected CarPlay for infotainment. If my car goes over a bump, I touch my phone screen, or an app updates, Aha relaunches and stops what I wanted my phone to be doing. This makes the app so annoying that I can’t stand allowing it on my phone. Developers MUST fix this issue. I removed Aha for 6 months and the auto launch issues stopped. Don’t waste your time even downloading this crap.

I have no idea what this app is, or why I have to try to download a Subaru update on an app which requires creating an account first, just to update the software in my stereo on my Subaru. The stereo stopped playing music today. It also stopped making any other noises. The stereo seems to be basically a brick. When I downloaded this app to see if I can fix the problem, there’s no way to actually download the Subaru software update it seems. So the app is basically a brick also. Show more

My 2020 Subaru Ascent is super glitchy with regards to Carplay. It got into a state where Carplay completely didn't work. So I did a factory reset and then tried to re-update the head unit software. When I couldn't quite get the download to work over wifi (because my car was too far from my wifi router) I tried this app. (expletive expletive expletive) - This app is trash. Not only did it freeze up my car and my phone, but after the fact, it still "takes over" my car when plugged in. Definitely going to uninstall and kill this app with fire. I ended up driving my car closer to my house to do the update. ?? Don't install this and -imho- don't buy a subaru until they get a decent modern software stack. (Don't even get me started on the battery replacements and electrical issues.) Show more

Garbage application, Subaru should be ashamed to be associated with as should the developers. Giving one star because negative five is not an option. Update 03/23/2022: Three years of Subaru Outback ownership and this application has not improved ONE BIT! This is ridiculous and it’s no wonder Subaru can’t get infotainment system working properly if this is the baseline for their software. It’s a slap in the face of Subaru owners and show just how little Subaru actually cares. Show more

This thing has always been inconsistent, finicky, and annoying but now it does even more! When I first got it, the app would suddenly disconnect from the car and could not seem to be reconnected without time away from the car and try again. Sometime all it takes is unplugging and replugging 3 or more times and miraculously it will connect again. But built into the app is some feature where the app wipes out your home screen so for example if you are stopped at a light typing a text suddenly AHA will pop up and your text is gone. You have to swipe back up and try to beat the aha screen before it pops up again or you have to unplug the phone to get it to stop doing this wipe screen. Now it’s started randomly (sometimes within seconds) making a loud pop sound and then blasting cbs radio. It’s annoying and embarrassing as it happened in a yoga class after an amber alert and I had to go turn off my phone after I figured out finally it was mine playing the news loudly. Can’t figure out why or what to do and it is the app as im currently in a loaner subaru and it does this same thing just as often in this car as my own. Also with the frequent messages disrupting the functions of the app to tell me the app is up to date- my fix this turn off auto updates in the car. Hope this helps someone else. Not sure about the wipe screen which I hate hate hate so much and the cbs news which I dislike strongly but can learn to hate it if it continues. Show more

Pitiful, just absolutely pitiful! Why can’t we rate a zero? I had to get my ‘Infotainment’ unit replaced in my Subaru. Subaru requires Aha to update the system. I’m quite disappointed with Subaru. If I had a good or even decent business name I would never link it to such garbage as aha. This app is useless within the continental United States. May be of use elsewhere but not here in the U.S.. I tried a few years ago, and am trying again. Still doesn’t work. I just downloaded app again this morning. Won’t even let me log in. Just gets stuck on eternal black screen. Now I’m remembering why I never used this app. What I want to know is how in the heck did this app get sold to the various car brands when it does even work! Make it go away!!!! Show more

Installed when I got my Subaru, expecting to use for software and map updates. Well, those don’t work, endless “download failed, retry?” WITH NO “No” BUTTON! Then it makes my PHONE unusable in the car. Launches every time I connect the cable, and won’t go away! Quit, it just comes back. Swipe it out of the way, start doing something else… it comes back to the front. Uninstalled. Now I can use my phone and car again. Ridiculously poor app, not worth the price! And it’s FREE! Did I buy the right car? This trash is needed to update my head unit but won’t even allow me to sign in on the iPhone 13 pro max running the latest software. Show more

This app is garbage and takes over the screen. Update over WiFi, I did mine in a Starbucks parking lot. You can also put it on a flash drive and install it from there. The app is garbage and needs to be removed from the App Store. Show more

I’ve used this app a few times! I have an iPhone 8+, which I use with my 2019 Outback. The car is a delight! The app is whatever the opposite of “delight” is! I read many of the reviews of Aha, and didn’t find a one which could be construed as complimentary. Even if you have a primordial level of reading comprehension. I’m surprised that Subaru permits it’s good name to be associated with such a low level app. I’m also surprised that Apple doesn’t block this app from download for its users. I thought one of the benefits of the App Store was to insure that the apps offered have a certain level of quality. This app has no level of anything which could be called “quality”! Show more

Useless app. Forceed to download to connect to Subaru.No value an app at all. Couldn’t even successfully login. When connected to Starlink, the air forces itself openAnd forces other apps out of the way.Seems to require full permissions even when not using. Complete waste of time and energy. Shame on you Harman, I expect much better quality from you, even if you aren’t app makers. At least put the effort in to contracting a decent company to make a half decent product. Show more

Negative infinity stars. App constantly launches randomly and takes over my whole audio system in my Subaru. Can’t delete it. It almost makes me want to sell my car it’s so bad. I wish you had never been born. Show more
