    I Love This App!
I have used this app for many years. I am a vocalist and although the app has had more capabilities than I need I enjoy using it. I can play scales, play in more than one octave, and play in different patches. I have always appreciated being able to use this app! Show more

Ultimately does the one thing I need it to
Frankly, this review would be a lot harsher if I'd wanted this virtual piano to sound decent and be vaguely like playing an actual piano. Unintuitive to the point of being poorly designed UX aside, the sample playback engine is remarkably poor. Even using an 88 key digital piano as a controller keyboard, it is almost impossible to get a decent performance out of this. The samples don't respond to sustain and key velocity in any sensible way, forget about aftertouch or ghost notes. It plays like a handful of single-velocity samples with poorly executed ASDR envelops, and no round-robin switching between sustain and held notes. It's like banging on a mediocre sounding upright with a hammer for all of the nuance you can get from it. In the end however, what I needed was an app that would record MIDI while I sketched out songs, and then send MIDI out back into my DAW later in. And alas, GarageBand doesn't do MIDI out. This is actually a decent MIDI recorder. So I use an external metronome and the audio of my Casio digi piano, and it works well enough in that regard. But unless you are using this app in this one specific way, just buy GarageBand, whose sampled pianos shine a harsh light on this app by some measure. Show more

    almost good
I loved this app because of its sound quality until I realized that it does understand that a key that is pressed down doesn't play again till you take your finger off it. It just double plays when you change fingering. Their support tells me this is not a bug and I should use a midi keyboard instead. Fortunately some of the other piano apps do it right - even the free ones. Show more

    Beware - NO SUPPORT!!!
Good luck figuring out how to connect the MIDI wireless, the settings don’t appear as described! And you keep having to reconnect when you do get it to work. But you won’t get that far - because the keys freeze and the pitch just starts squealing! And there is NO support! “Report a problem” goes to a deadend at their website, with no contact info besides an unused Forum. Looks like a wonderfully designed app - if it worked!! But they aren’t there to stand behind their app, don’t waste your $$! Show more

    Top notch
Fantastic app- you can play a wonderful piano, organ ..... But the big thing for me is that I am using the keyboard as a midi controller for GarageBand. From the rather small number of reviews, I'd say this app is flying below the radar - just buy it! Show more

    It's Piano Time!!!!??
It really does put the other piano apps to shame! DEEPLY RECOMMENDED!! BUY IT if you're in to piano playing while on the road or voicing out ideas for composing!!! Or if you want to goof off!! You will not regret it!! ☺️☺️ Show more

    Great MIDI controller
In addition to being playable as a keyboard (keys are the right size) this is a great keyboard for notation and sequencing. I used it with a Mac Air, and the response is immediate. Show more

Want wireless PC MIDI control with this? Dream on..
Shame on these guys for failing to mention that Wifi midi control is only avail natively on a Mac... I've wasted 3 hours downloading and configuring my iPad w new PC, grabbing these idiotic obscure freeware apps that Piano Pro says you can use to enable it as a controller on PC's.. You'd need a team of IT pros and musicians to make it happen. I will contact support and change my rating if they make this right. Show more

    Crashes a lot
Crashes when I try to open a saved file, crashes when I tried to use it along with Thumbjam. No way to export it to Dropbox or even to do an Sonoma Audiocopy. Cannot directly export to Soundcloud. Please fix these issues and I will give you more stars. Show more

    My Favorite Piano App
Even if just for the scales mode, this piano app is worth its weight in gold. Great recording capabilities and options, realistic sound, and fun to use, it's been my favorite piano app for quite some time. Others come and go, but I always come back to Pianist Pro! :) Show more

My five year old likes playing it.

    Pretty good
This is an alright app. The sampling for the instruments is pretty good. There were a couple things that would have raised the score for me. I bought this because it had the option of exporting audio as a wave. Yes it does this but in order to use that audio you then have to hook it back up to your computer and move it to a different area of your iPad. There are several music apps that have found ways around this limitation and since this product is not a DAW it should have an easier way to move the audio around. Seems to be a problem with a lot of the iPad music apps. Great functionality but terrible options for audio transfer. Fix this and I think it will be a great way to record piano and other sounds on the fly to be used with other daw software. Show more

    Bad sounding piano...
The interface is nice. Midi support is good. None of this matters if the sounds are bad. Useless piano. Wish I could get my money back

    Pianist Pro is great!!
---There are so many musical apps out there now it's hard to know what to take a chance on but I did with this one and I really like it. Very well made, the sounds are top notch and the ability to use my midi keyboard to play it makes life very good now. I've bothered the app creator several times and not once has he told me to sod off, he seems like a good guy and I'm really interested to see what he does in the future. Buy this app! Show more

    Works great
Easy to set up, ( with a little guidance) as a wireless midi keyboard. Very handy. So far works flawlessly. I also enjoy the programable arpeggiator function.

    Neat but room for improvement
This is a fair app, and certainly has potential. But most of the potential is for improvement: 1. Saving the user arpeggios 2. Continuous modulation based on key presses (as in garage band) 3. More powerful GUI 4. More control for MIDI devices (as recording for example) Show more

    Great app very useful
4 stars because it does what it says it would do and after the learning curve it was awesome!!!
