Newest update broke playlists. Can’t create playlists, app just crashes.

Been using this for years. Never fails me. Always get pristine audio output to whatever is in my ears. Works with every DAC I’ve tried. Needs an update though, especially for compatibility with the newer screens of the X series phones. Also could use a dark mode overhaul. Incredibly difficult to use if you have dark mode enabled. Why dan why does it crash? it’s always crashed dan. For years it’s crashed several times a year, for years. Love the app otherwise.

I have tried all of the flac players out there, and this is the only one that allows you to load jpgs pdfs and text files through iTunes file sharing with your flac files. It really allows you to feel like you have a more physical music collection with you! If the developer adds dark mode or theme color choice, it would be the perfect app! This one is still the best. Having scans of album artwork, jewel cases and booklets is really enjoyable. I have ripped all of my CDs with XLD on my Mac, and the log files created are only visible in this app. Thanks so much! I recently downloaded the app and I’m loving it so far. Occasionally the app has an issue where it skips certain songs at a specific time of the song. In other words, say a 1:34 into a specific song, it’ll skip to the next track. Oddly enough, if I seek a specific point of the song after the 1:34 mark, it’ll play without issues. I downloaded this app about three months ago, and up until about two weeks ago it worked perfectly. It allowed me to rediscover my favorite songs in unimaginable clarity through FLAC. Then it stopped working. It would launch and immediately crash. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling (which involves re-downloading my flac library to my phone). The app worked again for a day or two, only to crash again. I uninstalled and re-installed once more—same story. It looks like this app hasn’t been updated for about two years, so I’m guessing it’s an OS compatibility issue. I hope the developers haven’t abandoned this app, but it looks as if they have... This app used to be great but it’s died on the vine and hasn’t been updated in years. App will crash randomly and scramble your collection. It stops randomly during playback. Not worth it. Show more

App works great when it’s working, after a month or so it stops and won’t open. Like others said you too uninstall and reinstall all music. Pain in the you know what. Show more

Why does not in work?

I love this app and have used it for years. Love the functionality, support for my playlists and the shuffle feature. The one fatal flaw it has is that every once in a while it will just stop working. You launch it, it flashes like it is opening and then hits down. The only way to fix is to uninstall, reboot and reinstall. When you uninstall you lose everything and have to download all your songs again. I have several very large compilations that have multiple gigs of files, so this is quite annoying and pisses me off to no end. I keep coming back to this app because it does what I want, the way I want it... when it doesn't crash. I am writing this review in the hopes they fix this fatal flaw. Work the problem guys! Finally, I'm rid of that tiresome, worthless Apple Music app. Finally, I'm rid of the rest of Apple's marketing driven apps and have an app that does what I've always wanted: play FLAC music files. Thanks Dan Leehr, you've made my day! Show more

2016-11-21: Still locking up after a few weeks of use 2016-07-25: still locks up - Fix it! It works for a few days & then locks up. The only way around this seems to be to delete and reinstall - then reload ALL of the FLAC files. Not Good! Show more

I already paid for this, but it doesn't work!

This app has worked (mostly) fine for years, but now it crashes every time I try to play anything and is unusable. This problem is consistent on multiple iOS devices and operating systems. I am hopeful that you can fix it (I was happy with this app until very recently). Show more

Finally done with dealing with this buggy software for over three years. Bought another hard drive and convert to files alac with foobar. Trust me it's easier than this buggy locking up piece of dung. Show more

I've been using this app for about 2 weeks on my iPhone 6 plus; and I must say, it works like a charm! For me, this app has rarely given me problems. It has only crashed a handful of times; compared to how much I've used it though, that's a miracle. I do have a couple of gripes. Please add a search function and a song list. This app only has albums, collections, artists, and playlists. I wish it would have a collection of all of my songs too! It would make playing songs continuously much easier. Also, please improve the playlist function. Right now, it is very inconvenient to add or subtract songs from playlists. Overall, it's a great app for flac music. If you have a large library like me, you'll definitely need this app. Also, the sound quality is superb. One last request-I know the name doesn't suggest this-but can you guys please allow it to play other files like wav, alac, etc. Thanks for this awesome app! Update: 10/27/2015 Actually I lied it does crash a lot, unfortunately. Can Dan Leehr please create a more stable, user friendly app that also plays other files. This app is the best sounding music app, but it has its drawbacks. I really wish this thing could play WAV, APE, and other files. After using this app for two weeks I have no complaints. It has been performing perfectly!

On a whim I deleted the app and reinstalled it, now it works again. Or course, all my music is gone... Old Review - crashes as soon as I open it and is useless. Original Review - Low power use, sounds great, and doesn't crash randomly. Using it right now as I type this, actually :) Show more
