HOS gives me life on Sunday nights. Now I can listen to it on other nights with my iPhone . Great app.

$13 / month for what is available for free with an Internet radio app. I’d pay $13 / year but not a month.

I have enjoyed HOS broadcasts immensely since the late ‘70s. I access this awesome resource from the web page, on my iPhone and both my iPads. It would be great to have this usable from Apple TV HD & 4K as well vs. streaming to my main audio system from a iPhone or iPad. Otherwise it’s all good. UPDATE: The app is improving by leaps and bounds and no longer has these problems! App doesn't remember sign in and once signed in doesnt remember voice over option. pretty basic qol stuff Show more

If you are a fan of electronic and New Age music, this app and program is a profound treasure. If you love music from yoga or just want to relax you will discover layers and layers of beauty in these programs. Love that on this app I can make playlists as well. There’s only one glitch that I found so far which has to do with the login but nothing affecting security. I really enjoy the interface of this app, all the text from the introductions, the wonderful archive that it is. Show more

I’ve been listening to HOS since the 80s. It’s still as great as it’s ever been!

Been listening to HOS on the radio since I was 12. Now I’m 50 and I’ve been loving the app for the last few years. But recently with the last upgrade I keep having to sign in daily. It won’t keep my credentials after I login successfully. Please help. Show more

Broken.

You have to pay for everything now. What’s the point? You can’t even listen to the old playlists that have always been free. Very disappointed with this update

Like many here, I have been an HOS listener since the 80s. The previous version of the iOS app was never great but it was getting increasingly decrepit. If left in the background, even if not playing anything, it would chew up the battery in a few hours. Also, not being able to manage playlists from the iOS app was a big hole in functionality. So far, I am very pleased with this newest incarnation. It’s nice to be able to add a show to my playlist without having to go to the HOS web site, skipping ahead or back in a show works fairly well, and I like the Voice Over and Sleep Timer controls right they at the bottom of the program player. The organization of the “Music” page is a lot easier to work with. Plus just sitting and waiting in the background when I’m not playing anything, the app barely touches the battery. Now I won’t find myself with a dead phone before noon because I forgot to kill the HOS app in the background when I got up in the morning. Show more

The new release of the HOS app fixes a very real weakness of the old app by fully integrating playback with standard apple controls, including the all important “stop playing to Bluetooth speaker when speaker disconnects”. All it needs now is a CarPlay interface! Show more

I can send the audio from my iPhone app to my Sonos speakers via Airplay. Thank you!!! I can imagine it was major project to get all the audio and rich meta data in a state where you could use the native iOS audio. Thanks so much! Show more

Disregard reviews written prior to Feb 2021. This iOS mobile app had a major 2021 rewrite and is now outstanding. One of the best music subscription streaming services now has an iOS mobile app to match. It offers everything available to desktop browser users and Full Service subscribers. Show more

I’ve been waiting years for this iPhone specific version and it definitely nails it! Great job.

It seems like the iPhone app was in development forever, but it was worth the wait. I finally can create and edit playlists. I can find shows by genre, or by the program number. I can search by artist or album title. Love it! Show more

Been a fan since the 80’s and was so excited to listen online. The older app worked well, but the new app has a clean look and a very easy to use format. Easy to login and manage settings. Love the show listings by year. Found my favorite version of Irish Tune from County Derry, which I heard in 1990 and have been trying to find ever since. An amazing archive of music. Show more

Free access to weekly program stopped working. App has been hit and miss the last few months. Nice app when it works though.

I signed up for a month and expected to be able to use AirPlay on my iPhone to play to my speakers. This is not supported by the app. This needs to be a top priority for the developer. Why have an iPhone music app in 2020 if it doesn’t support AirPlay? Show more
