This is a great app. I just started playing guitar a few weeks ago and didn’t care about chords at all. I started learning a few, and then I got this app. I have already learned 4 chords and the games are amazing. At first it said I needed to buy the membership thing, but when I closed and re opened the app, everything was free. It’s an amazing tool for any beginner. Show more

I came to use your app to learn not to pay to use your app features

While the initial download is free, users must pay for a subscription to access the majority of the app's features.

Now they want me pay the monthly subscription. Take care of those who took care of you. Abandon them and risk loosing your customers.

Nice app. Only thing is, it’s not wanting to register my guitar input. I can only seem to get it to work if I plug in an audio interface and even then it’s a little buggy and slow to register the input, at least for the games. The tuner works fine with an audio interface. I do have another app with a similar chord game that works flawlessly, so I don’t know what I may be doing wrong. I’d give at least 4 stars after that. It would be cool to add more game also, maybe for the scales. That would make it five stars. Show more

I had been using this since it was first released. I used simply as a chord dictionary. As soon as it went it went subscription, I was turned off. Without a subscription your bombarded with ads. I just deleted the app today. Unfortunate. Show more

I have most of the guitar chord and scale apps and this one is the most useful. It has a vast selection of chord types and the ability to save collections of them using any criteria I want. I gather the chords that I want to concentrate on and can easily find them. Lots of good practice tools. All around ChordBank is the best guitar chord dictionary/learning app I have found. Show more

Doesn’t seem to recognize the chords easily even though I’m playing them correctly

I use ChordBank along with my Real Book to learn Jazz chords and figure out best voicings. This update is TREMENDOUS. You've got a fantastic product here and I just wanted your team to know how much it's improved my playing, understanding of the fretboard, and unlocked creativity I didn't know I had. it’s been freezing lately. Have had to restart the app a few times just in the last few minutes. Messes with the flow of messing around and learning

I think they make the free version glitchy and bad on purpose. They think this will convince you to pay an outrageous 17.99 to buy the full version. No thanks. There are better chord apps for much less on the App Store. Show more

I miss the old version more. I updated it and it ruined the app.

The chord and scale library is iconic and a necessity for beginners!

I’ve actually used this app for years and finally decided to write a review. I am not even using the most up-to-date version but this app has proven to be amazing time and time again. I was just using the chord finder feature where you can tap on the fretboard and create the chord that you are playing and it will tell you the best options for what it actually is. You’ve got all the scales and modes and backing tracks to go along with them. It generally has a great interface and I can’t imagine all the work it took to put this together. It’s been a huge asset for me. Thank you developers! Show more
