    Great tuner
I love this tuner and have used it for many years. Please keep it updated!

    So perfect!
Exactly what you need for tuning whatever you need. The price is great and would be for much more! Thank you so much for keeping this updated!

    Very accurate!
I was having trouble tuning my ukulele with other paid apps. There's not a lot of margin for error with this tiny instrument. This app is very easy to use and my uke sounds so sweet now. Thank you! From the looks of the settings page, this app could probably use a refresh to bring it in line with the latest Apple graphical standards, but that's a minor niggle for an app that really improved the sound of my instrument, and therefore, my playing! Fantastic!
I really needed a precise tuner that was easy to use and could help me get my alto sax in tune. I got this because I needed a tuner for a marching band assignment, and this definitely worked like all tuners should. The tuner has good "hearing" so to speak, in that it: picks up on a lot of noise, can tell you the frequency (if you need to be that specific), but will pick up some background noise. I felt that I was able to see my adjustments, get my instrument in tune, and really feel when my sax was in the "golden range". I definitely recommend this to musicians who need an exact tuner. It was well worth the small price! Show more

Better than any clip on tuner I've owned
v1.3, iOS 6.1.3, iPhone 4S This thing tunes *very* tight. For best results, you do need to reduce background noise, so a clip adapter would be nice. Can't get away from others? Simply place your phone on the instrument. I play mandolin, so there's that inherent problem of matching strings. Clip on tuners and needle-type apps leave me wondering why it sounds "off" even though the needle is centered. Not with this tuner. If it says you're in tune, you can bet on it and you can hear the difference. The display takes a moment to figure out. Just play a note and it becomes self-evident. Tweak the tuning gently and the 5 second display shows your progress. Great idea. That 5 second display may be why you can see such accurate results. I'm not sure why others want more accuracy. This is my only trusted tuner. Show more

    Great tuner with transposition
Great little app! Supports different tuning modes! Also good training aid to make sure you play in tune.

    Mostly Great...
Some *quick* tests with my keyboard were showing this was accurate to within a few cents, which meets the needs of the vast majority of people. The running tape is nice so that you can *see* trends and errors and adjust accordingly. The "Freqencies" view is neat but has few practical applications because there isn't enough resolution in the frequency domain to gain knowledge of the frequencies--or better yet notes--that are being played. (I'm not quite sure what the page is really for other than looking neat, as it doesn't accomplish any of the use cases very well (e.g. overtone analysis, polyphonic tuning, decomposition of a polyphonic source into it's notes). Lastly, after having this on my phone for awhile I started having the "20 second" lock-up bug where everything would work fine for about 10-20 seconds and then it'd just freeze up. Deleting and reinstalling it seemed to fix the problem, and I actually suspect that the issue is with the iOS 4 multitasking, and that just killing the app and restarting (or equivalently, restarting the phone) would fix the problem as well. Overall, it is worth the purchase and is working well for my needs (tuning of a guitar, flugelhorn, and trumpet, as well as checking how in tune I am with certain trumpet trouble pitches like C#4 that need to be corrected via slides.) Good tuner
I like seeing the past 5 seconds of tuning. maybe have up to 10 seconds when tilt iPhone horizontal. I'd like to be able to keep the transposition after quitting app and then starting. Would like to have different levels of sensitivities while tuning a brass or woodwind instrument Show more

    Crappy
When I tapped the app, it took 20 secs just to crash.

    Highly enlightening
This is a wonderful app in many ways, and not just for tuning. The frequency view is quite fun and allows you to analyze the spectrum of all the noises around you. It's really neat seeing the harmonics pop up as a bunch of spikes in this view. Many thanks to the author for making this free. Show more

    Can't believe it's free
This style of tuning works really well. When a string is initially struck, you can see the spike in pitch as a predictable pattern. Having a readout of the past five seconds of pitch is brilliant. It gives you a more stable reference to work with. Show more

    Back again
I had this app. a while ago. It was deleted from my iPod and was not available. I'm glad to see it back. One feature I like is that it shows he frequencies in the frequency mode. Like another reviewer, I too would like to be able to puck the range of the display, but at least there is a reference. Thanks for making this app. Available again. Show more

    Great Tuner
This is a great tuner app. The frequency graph is a really neat feature. I do wish that the frequency axis of the graph could be rescaled in order to get more accurate frequency readings from the graph though. For example, being able to make the max 1000Hz with 100 Hz increments would be very useful. Show more

    Best and most accurate tuner
    Works perfectly.

    Revolutionary way to tune
Works well with voice and recorder on my new ipod touch that has a microphone. Graphically it's a better way to tune then a needle bouncing around. Some tuners don't mention how they work. This one listens to you. It doesn't play a note for you to match. Show more
