    The content matters
I don’t like reading anything over my iPad. It’s a compromise, there’s nothing better than holding the mag in hand and smell the prints. But it’s hard to subscribe print version in my country. And I just like the stories and reviews of Hi Fi+ so much that I have to settle for the digital version. The contents are too good to let go. Show more

    Print much better
The print magazine is beautiful. The digital version is clumsy at best.

    Overall Very Good
For the most part, Hi-Fi+ gives the reader good, unbiased, and fair reviews on many brands of hi-fi components. However, they often miss mentioning a multitude of lesser known manufacturers who make great audio products. In this regard, they are hardly any better than TAS, but much better than Stereophile, which has declined to a point of becoming practically worthless. There's plenty of room for improvement, but Hi-Fi+ is well worth reading. Show more

Just as good as the print issue.
I was always trying to get this magazine in the US. Not always worked. Now with this app, I read it every month. It is just like the real thing.

    Great Customer Service
I had some problems when I subscribed, but Customer Service spent several emails helping me sort it out. Since then, the app has worked flawlessly.

    Subscription problems
After my initial download, haven't been able to receive any more issues on a 1 year sub. Doesn't appear to be a fix with this bunch. Hard to say what the mag is like with only 1 magazine downloaded. Show more

    /do not want
Hi>Fi+ is my favorite print mag for audio, but this digital implementation is sub-par, at best. It has a really horrible, low-res page turning animation that cannot be disabled in settings. Please, either use the iBooks page-turning or add the ability to disable your current version. The UX in the app feels very non-Apple; slow, imprecise, and sloppy. The total deal-breaker here, though, is the resolution of the text at default zoom level. I'm on an iPad with better resolution than my 60" TV and the text is blurry?!? Really? I rarely give such a low rating, but this lack of polish is unacceptable. I would steer well clear of any Newstand magazine that is produced by Pocketmags. They're rubbish. Show more

    Terrible app
I was excited to be able to read this hifi rag on me iPad. Unfortunately it's almost impossible to read the font...you have to zoom in on every page just to see the writing clearly. They obviously are lazy and don't care about the end user. BOOOO!!!!!! Show more

Great mag, but software needs better controls for iPhone
Probably one the best audio magazines out there, but the software controls to read it on an iPhone need significant improvement. Specifically, the control for resizing the page doesn't work consistently on my iPhone 4, leaving the text blurry on most pages. Content likely needs to be presented a more e-native format, not just an online redo of the printed mag. Show more

    Only one problem
I like this app. It has cool animation for flipping pages, and the in-app purchase of individual issues or subscriptions is cheaper than ordering an electronic subscription from the publisher. There is one very annoying feature though. On any page that links to web content, there is a pulsating circle in one corner of the page. This is very annoying and distracting. I flip past these pages as fast as possible - probably not what the advertisers want. There doesn't seem to be any way to turn this off. Show more
