I really wanted this to work. I bought it as a Mixmeister replacement since Mixmeister is no longer working on Mac. 1) Crashes all the time. I was already used to this on Mixmeister though. 2) The tempo (bpm) is set from the beginning for the whole mix. If you expect to do only mashups is fine. If you want to create a whole 70 min Mix CD this doesn't work unless you want the same Tempo the whole time. I submitted a request for refund. Show more

I bought the app and after 30 minutes of usage the app crashed. It won't let me reopen the app and says there is an error. I don't know if this is a problem with my computer even though my computer is less then a year old or a pronlem with the app. either way, I would like a full refund. Show more

This tool lets you "visually" mix your music by overlapping waveforms, adjusting tempo, and adjusting individual waveform volume. I was able to create my first mix in just a few minutes and it sounded great. Imports directly into iTunes as well. Show more

This is the type of Mac app I was looking for. I wanted to simply make a custom mix of songs. My technical experience is via multi-track recording and editing, not live DJ mixing. Hence, this simple format using grids/tracks is more intuitive for me to use to create an easy mix. I have tested it and the beat matching works great, even for complex tracks! I tried doing something similar in GarageBand and the beat matching was a train wreck, no matter what I tried. GarageBand was designed to beat match loops, not entire imported songs. If you're looking to create a simple track mashup or your own "DJ" mix of songs without recording live, this is a great option. I love the newly updated support for Dark Mode. I hope the developer continues to expand and support this app as there are not a lot of options in this area. Thanks Atomic Droplet! Show more

I’m really disappointed with this app. Like most users this app keeps on crashing, which makes it unusable. I emailed customer support and never heard back from anyone. Very disappointed that I spent a good amount of money for this junk. Show more

I have been holding off writing this as I was hopeful that I was going to get support. After the 1.3.1 update the application is totally unusable as the import functionality to bring new songs into the libary no longer functions. I have tried uninstalling the full application and reinstalling to no avail. I recieved an email communication from the support website when I first started having issues. All future communications have not been responded to. I paid $70 for software that now doesnt work and I can not get support. Dont waste your money Show more

I use MixTape Pro to make long party mixes. I was able to make a 3 hour mix for a party I was having, and it worked great. I mostly like it because it allows me to change the BPM which makes it possible to beatmatch, and adjust volume levels to easily fade in and fade out songs. I recommend watching the tutorial videos before getting started. Show more

i had such high hopes for this app. but as soon as i tried to import some mp3's it crashed and has continued to crash since. i can't even have it open for a minute before it crashes. what a disappointment. can't believe i paid 70 bucks for this.... Show more
