Seriously! This app is ridiculous!

I only took away one star, because the problem that I found seems like it would be easy to fix, but please dear God why does my phone go to sleep while I’m recording??!!! Fix that, and the app is perfect for singing, and having a polished professional sound. Great app except that one issue, which is so frustrating that after the third use and third occurrence, I almost threw my phone. Show more

Can’t even record the simple audio. Regardless of the stupid encrypted songs that u can’t play

Followed the instructions just as the developer suggests. I am enjoying playing and singing to my favorite tracks and recording them as well. If you have issues email the app support. They are quick to respond and want to help. Show more

this app is useless you cant load a song fix this now you fricks

I read the reviews that called it a waste of money, hoped for the best because DeVox was great, and immediately ran into the same problems as everyone else. Can’t load songs on an iPhone 8 running iOS 11.4.1 and occasionally ran into the DRM protection claim mentioned previously. DeVox was fine as is, not sure why you had to overhaul the app. Show more

Just makes horrible noises in the background and never downloads a song. Waste of money. Allow me to clarify, I did use headphones, and it would not “load” any song. I had songs downloaded from cds and supposed drm free songs. ( tried them all). Also made fax machine, high pitch, shrill noises. Glitchy. If all of that wasn’t enough it kept crashing. Show more

I purchased the app and it never worked! Period! Don’t waste your money!

Don’t waist your money of using your iPhone and bought music from iTunes. Almost all iTunes songs are DRM. I should have read a little further and read the small line at the end. They got me! Smh Show more

Devox (I think) is short for "De-vocalizer," and it does a good job of removing voals from songs if that is what you want it to do. I use it as a personal karaoke app, which lets me practice songs for church specials. Some of the feature that set it apart from ther karaoke apps are (1) the abilty to remove vocals from songs, (2) the ability to change to pitch of the music, (3) the ability to use any MP3 song (just copy your accompaniment songs to your iPhone in iTunes, (4) the ability to add reverb to mimic a church sanctuary's acoustics, (5) the abillty to set a "Gate" level so that the mic will not pick up backround noise if I am practicing in my car, and (6) the ability to record your performances. I recommend using a set of headphones that does not have a built-in in-line mic, otherwise you will be singing into it. If you use a set of headphones without a built-in mic, then you sing into the iPhone's mic, which works much better in my opinion. Anyway, its a great app. Show more

Says couldn't load, waste of money! Please fix issues!!

Adjust the music level down if it starts clipping. Mic level starts out on zero for some reason, so had to turn that up. After that it was fine. Hit the microphone icon in the upper right corner to load the first song. From then on that icon becomes the album art. Push that to change songs. Wonderful tool for musicians. Show more

This app won't let me download any of my songs to use... Keep saying "could not load song" for every song I pick...

Use it all the time when I play drums and want to be able to hear me playing alongside the music! Definitely recommend it!

Love the UI. Now if they can make it capable with Bluetooth....

Works good. Would love to see SoundCloud integration in the future to share my recordings with others. To all users that are experiencing problems at start-up: ive noticed the app does tend to crash if headphones or a mic arent plugged in to the device. Once one of these are being used, DeVox starts and runs quite smoothly. Show more
