Good app but would benefit with some tweaks
    1) Volume is too low! I have the pitch training app and it's much louder than this. Why? 2) Only four triad types. Major, minor, dim, aug Though these are the most common I'd love to see the addition of a couple of others. In my world Sus2 and Sus4 triads are very common. Would love these to be added. Or better yet see #3 3) Allow for creation of custom triads. This way I can create my own triads that are missing from this. All in all a useful app. The volume issue is a BIG one however. Show more

    Basically a giant ad
Very little functionality here. It's just a funnel to you to buy the pro version.

    rip off
I thought by purchasing this app I would have access to a variety of chords like 7th and diminished, etc., It's no the case. also trying to customize this program is a super pain. I wasted my money, Apple does not have a refund policy and the company just refers you to Apple. There is nothing Pro about his app! Show more

    Great app, responsive service
Ear training takes a lot of practice but this app has streamlined the process quite a bit for me. Pro version lets me pick and choose whichever chord forms (and inversions) I want and drill and compare endlessly. I had some issues installing on my prior phone and the developer was very responsive. App works perfectly on my new 5s. It currently plays piano sounds but would love if it also offered guitar. For musicians wanting to sharpen their ear training skills in a program developed to enhance the learning experience, I would give it a two thumbs up winner. Aziz S.

    A must have for musicians
All of the Easy Ear Training apps should be on the required list for musicians. This one is no exception.

    Definitely worth it
This app has multiple features that will help you become a better musician. It's training mode has very definitive and understandable information, and it's testing mode allows you to see your own improvement, with difficulty levels ranging from beginner to very advanced. Show more

    "wrong answer" pop-up glitchy
The "wrong answer" pop-up in test mode doesn't always work -- spontaneously arpegiates, just doesn't play each chord at all, or plays a shower of chords. Naming root, 1st, and 2nd inversions, a, b, and c is obvious, but, a little annoying -- why the new nomenclature? Show more

    Terrific app
I am a conservatory trained musician and I think this app is really great! I especially like the option of drilling the chord inversions. Great job!

I'm so glad I bougt this one
I've hesitated for so long. I have only 8 dollars left in my account and the Amplitube fender is on sale for 7 dollars. It's a hard decision and finally I choose this app and the Chordelia seventh heaven. I'll never regret this. Now I can discern between major and minor which is the ability I've been dreaming for years. I'm very confident and going to the next level, hoping to unlock the next difficult level. Thanks man, you've done a great job. Show more

I can now distinguish between dim and aug triads much better. Very valuable little app!

    I hear it!!!
Very helpful app. I use it as a study aid for my ear training class. I'm actually starting to differentiate chord qualities (m,d,etc). Definitely worth the money.

    NOT for iOS 3.x
As stated in description, if you're stuck w/ iOS version 3.x don't buy. Selection buttons are a mess. If 2 chord types are selected they are misplaced but generally usable. If all 4 chord types are selected it's a REAL mess, and one of the types is missing completely. Apart from that, this is a VERY useful app... w/ the following issues: - Answer buttons are small, and easy to miss. With larger fingers you often have to try to answer more than once. - In test mode, when an error is made the correct answers played by the app REALLY should mirror the option settings by default... meaning that if no arp is selected NO arp should be played in the corrected options. The speed on the error pop up isn't variable and it just distracts from the task at hand. (It would be really cool if there were an option to play the arp ONLY WHEN DESIRED on the error popup.) - On iOS 3.x training mode is a complete mess so I can't say a lot about it, BUT, based on what I see it's far too limited. Should be possible to repeat chords and select arp WHEN DESIRED on the fly. Then it would be possible to MUCH more effectively dig into the qualities of the chords and hear them deeply. The user needs much more control in general, but especially in training mode. - Another bonus in training mode would be an on the fly ability to play only the lowest note of the inversion. - The samples could be slightly higher quality for this application. They're good, but especially in lower registers either EQ and/or the harmonics of the fundementals get a little sloppy. This is not such a big deal for melodic or simple intervallic qualities, BUT when trying to listen deeply into the more complex harmonics of a full chord (or when trying to focus through the harmonics to the lowest sounding tone) it's a huge. (That's why it's so cool to do this stuff on a healthy grand piano... not that it's reasonable to expect that here... it could just be a bit better.) - Lastly, and least important: For the price and current functionality, extended chord forms would be a reasonable addition. This COULD appear as a seperate app, but it would seem unecessary to block out the options long term. Show more

    Excellent but can be expanded
Great product and interface. I'd like to see the first stage of each level use an anchor note and not jump around. Like it is in relative pitch. And I would live to see the app expand to 7th chords. But still worth every penny!!! 4 stars only because it is not to it's full potential yet!!! Show more

    Worth ten times the price...seriously!
Wow! These guys have really out done themselves this time. I've been working with a professional instructor on harmonic ear training for the past few weeks. Consequently, I was very eager to check out the release of Chordelia. Basically it does exactly what my instructor does...for substantially less. I highly recommend this app for anyone interested in improving their ear for harmony. Show more
