I love this app! I have been playing cello for about a year and was insecure about how 'in tune' I was playing. This app has bolstered my confidence! (Especially the graph; I have never seen this in any other music app). The sight-reading and ear training games are excellent, and the app has so many options (scales, modes, even meantone tuning. I had to look that one up!) I have a Ph.D. in Educational Software Development, and I rate this A++. It looks like this is your only app; I encourage you to write more! Show more

The tuner is nice but my favorite feature is the ability to confirm that I’m playing the correct note. Not sure what mode it’s called but it shows a picture of a violin neck and shows you what and where you just played a note. Very helpful for me. Show more

I just got my violin outfit the other day. It came with a chromatic tuner, but thanks to this app, I haven’t even bothered with it. This app is very easy to use and I especially love how when you tap one of the strings, it holds the note, so you don’t have to keep putting the violin down to tap the screen again. The very first time using this app, about 10 minutes after getting my new violin, I had it tuned in under a minute. I remember with my old violin, I used a different tuning app that was frustrating. A helpful note that the app doesn’t tell you: when tuning your violin, the first selection you see, “GDAE”, is the standard tuning for a violin. Show more

I am a new student of the Violin less than a year. This app for tuning a violin is not intuitive. It's too complicated.

I absolutely love this app and have used it everyday for the last two years. It helps me with tuning, understanding of notes on the fingerboard and even my intonation when playing. The most recent upgrades including the 5-string violin feature are most welcome. My only complaint is that the most recent upgrade makes it impossible to track intonation while playing - a feature I have used daily. The graphical output of playing a few notes is delayed up to 5 seconds whereas the older version graphed intonation at the speed I played. Still, this is best violin app that I have found. Well done! Try it - you'll like it. I am a novice violin player and have been using this app for a couple years now. I does everything I need and keeps getting better. The only thing I'd really like to see added is an AirPlay button so I can run it through my audio system speakers. Show more

I'm a beginning player. I love this app because, it tunes my violin, has a built in metronome, shows where on the fretboard different scales are located, I can play while the app is open, and it will tell me if I'm off on a note! Can't remember if I paid for this app, or not. However, if I did pay its worth almost as much as my teacher! Lifesaver for the future violinist! Show more

working on second postion,, I would like to noe have the note in the graph, just the lines would be good.. also I play a 5 sting, I lknow its reaching, but it would be nice to have that! Show more
