    Exceptional program
I searched and searched for a way to copy my iTunes playlists in .m3u format and all of their associated songs to a SD card so I could play them in my car. This program did exactly that quickly and easily. It was very easy to figure out, and it was very fast. EXCELLENT value! Show more

    Did not work for me
While I was able to play music on a flash drive in my car using this program, I could not get the playlist function to work at all. I tried all different setting, e-mailed Eric Daugherty, the developer of this app. however after the first e-mail response, I did not here back from him after I could not get it to work. I tried it in 2 different vehicles, 2018 Accord and a 2020 Chevy, neither would work with the playlist function. I can see it worked for others, but not for me. Show more

    Great Find
I put playlists on a USB drive for my car, and have wanted the ability to export from ITUNES in album order, so I can have the music arranged and played by album order instead of songs interspersed - this app does it well. Now I create my playlist in ITUNES and export using the artists/album sort option, USB ends up with songs in folders by artists & album - GREAT! Show more

Only good thing it cost less than $5.00
Absolutly no documentation on how to use, you are left up to your own devices (Trial and error - mostly error). Developers websight is simply a Blog and is also of no help. What little help there is, is embeded in the help section of the app and frankly it is of no use. Already waisted Hours trying to get this app to function as described, save you money and find something else. Developer appears to have abandonded the App as there has been no updates since 2017. iTunes Essential
I've been using this app for years, and really appreciate its usefulness. Playlist Export is reliable, and easy to use. If you need to export your playlists to a USB device so you can play them in your car stereo or another device (I'm trying to get music on my Roku TV right now) this app lets you do that. Show more

This program is a total godsend! It should be standard in OSX
Total lifesaver if you have a Macbook and an android phone as well. I spent a very large amount of time organizing and building a really large music library from my computer. But it was absolutely useless since exporting it to anything apart from a Mac product was a total pain. All of my playlists were lost or it was an extremely slow and/or unreliable process. Playlist exporter is flawless.. You can customize the parameters you want to export with and put all your music - in whatever way it’s on your iTunes - onto anything from a USB thumbdrive, to an Android Phone’s (including it’s SD Card). If it plugs into your computer and has storage this program can put your library onto it. Show more

Makes USB sticks for use in Cars a breeze
This tool is excellent at making USB sticks for use in cars. iTunes should support this feature nativley but it doesn’t….this tool makes life a whole lot easier! Thanks! Show more

    Works Great
I used this to write four playlists (over 1,000 songs) to the RNS310 radio in my VW Golf. It works perfectly using the “Copy to Artist/Album folders” setting. I couldn’t get it to work on the "Copy Music to Playlist folders” setting. But, that’s not what I wanted to do anyway. So, I’m very happy. I copied it to a 32gb SDHC card, and it works great in my car. Show more

    Worked like a charm!
Solid application. Took about 30 seconds to figure out how to export a couple of playlists.

    No instructions
Nowhere is there any manual or flowchart on how to use this program. What does the author expect from the users? that we are born with an intuitive sense of how to use his script? His alleged support page has no help on it. Save your money and go somewhere else. Show more

    Almost...
Great tool…. but it really needs a resampling feature (think copy playlist to ipod at lower bitrate).

    Great for Synology
I was looking for an easy way to export hundreds of playlists from iTunes into my music folder and adjust the paths at the same time. This does the trick perfectly! Simple to use and quick to complete. Totally worth the $5. Show more

    Not point and shoot
I bought this based on the reviews and if I was a techie rather than an enduser, my experience MAY have been different. After fooling with this for over an hour and producing inconsistent results - some cd/playlists would not read on an SD produced by this for the car stereo, this was my experience…the app is not an intuitive point and shoot app like every other app I have purchased. As a low tech end user, I found this made it confusing and hard to use - other than the five screenshots on this page and dubiously helpful callout boxes, there are no instructions anywhere, certainly not in the app, and not on the developer’s website. Finally out of frustration, I took a tip from another end user review and got export it for iTunes - it was intuitive, worked great, and I was up and running in no time. I wound up deleting all files produced by the playlist export app - no sense my throwing additional time in with money that was wasted for me. Show more

    works great
I have the latest version of iTunes and OS and created playlists and exported them to an external drive. I then imported these songs to my car hard drive. All playlists and songs and other data worked just great. Works as advertised. Show more

    works very well
I am using this to export playlists and my entire library to my audi's media player. Works very well, and I like the configurability of the different options. The only problem I found it was a very minor issue with bands having a ‘/‘ in the name, which causes the ‘/‘ to be interpreted as another directory. That’s just a minor annoyance however, and overall the program works flawlessly. Show more

Wish I had found this one first- Works great!!!
This is my first review of an app because I had to provide a review for a product that did exactly what it advertised and did so flawlessly. I searched web posts from many different sites and eventually came across one mentioning this app. It was the second app I tried (I paid $5 for another “script” app that I would give 2 out 5 stars). Download and installation were easy, and the transfer of my playlists and files was easy. On my first attempt I noticed only my playlists transfered over to my SD card. The 2 second transfer was an easy give-away. So I looked a bit more closely and saw the option to tranfer files had not been selected. Once I did that it worked perfectly. Used a 16GB SD card on my iMac and put the SD card in my 2014 Mercedes E350. Show more

4 tries later I give up
tried 4 times and 50% and less was converted to mp3. Time for apps to have a trial period so they can be tested first.

    Exactly what I needed
This is exactly what I needed to export my playlists to an sd card to use in my 2014 Ford C-Max with MyFord Touch. The only trick I found was that I needed to export everything to the root directory of the sd card, but that’s a quirk of the car system not of this program. I could have manually edited the path in the m3u files that iTunes exports, but with 32gb of music on the card, I’m happy to pay for this utility. Show more

    Amazingly easy!
I bought this app a couple of weeks ago. It works beautifully and easily. I can export my iTunes smart playlists without any glitches at all. I'm using a USB stick PNY 128 GB to store my music and play it in my Prius V. I cannot say anything other than this: perfect! The app does the job well. Show more

Excellent software, works like a charm..
alows you to export files and create playlists to be used in 3rd party devices. the only suggestion is to create a more userfriendly export dialog for non computer savvy people
