    This is NOT NoSleep by Pavel Prokofyev
    There is a free application by Pavel Prokofyev, also called NoSleep, whick works great. But the one Apple is selling here is a mess. Notice all the one star reviews. Then notice there are no reviews between 1 and 5 stars. This typically indicates fake reviews by the developer, who is trying to counter all the bad reviews by real people. The free NoSleep can be found on MacUpdate. It's a couple years old though, so it might not work on the latest MacOS. I'm still back on Mojave, and it works great there. Show more

    Works great
    Perfect for keeping screen from sleeping when airplaying video to my apple tv. I just turn the brightness down completly and this keeps the airplay from stopping

    It does not work it does not appear in my menu bar nor does it prevent my mac from sleeping. I highly dont recommend this app.

    Does not prevent my Mac from sleeping when closing the lid
    I’m not sure if that’s what this app was supposed to do (it probably wasn’t), but this should have been clearer in the description.

    no sleep quit unexpectedly. App is useless as it doesnt work

    Bogus Title.. VERY misleading!
    I had used a program called 'nosleep' from Pavel Prokofiev which is free and works. I see this program in the AppStore has very poor review - it's NOT the same program. If you want to close the lid and keep awake (say in a coach airplane seat and you don't have room to keep the lid open while you listen to tunes..) then search for his name on line. I found it on code (dot) google (dot) com - search for nosleep there.. Show more

    Poor app
    Didn't work at all for me when I shut the lid. For anyone here because Life Hacker recommended it, this is a different app than the one they recommended. Google for No Sleep Helper, you can find the dmg out there and it works like Life Hacker said. I would imagine someone there also posted a link to the dmg. This app wouldn't be too bad if it worked when you shut the lid. But there's also no quick toggle. NoSleepHelper has an easy toggle button up by your sound/network preferences in the top right.     Worthless!
    I downloaded this app after reading a recommendation on LifeHacker. The first time I tried it, it did stay awake while the lid was closed, but when I opened the lid, the computer went to sleep! I was really excited about the concept of this app, but it lost me within the first minute of use. Awful. Show more

    Useless
    My computer still goes to sleep after I close the lid. 1 star until this app actually does what it says it will.

    Not exactly what I need except of 31 second jobs
    Installed on MBA and it does work fully in clamshell mode, but only for 31 seconds. Have to open and close it after 31 seconds to use it again with cover closed - for 31 more seconds. Fix this and I will love it. Show more
