I love Bar Tunes but the icons are so ugly compared to everything else in the menu bar. Can you allow different icon designs? Or just make the icons more inline with apple's design guidelines? I'm sure they even provide some in their new icon libraries. There was another app similar to Bar Tunes called Synergy back in the day that let you install custom icons which was great because I like the icons taking up as little room as possible. Some of the designs grouped the three icons together so they take up less precious horizontal menu bar space. Would love to see something like that here. Thanks! Show more

just upgraded to big sur and Bartunes suddenly didnt work anymore. please fix th bug thank you!

But the icons are so big and ugly. I wish they would offer a choice of what icons to display. Also sometimes other programs/features you have in your menu bar will get inbetween the four different icons BarTunes uses which can turn into a mess. You can cmd drag the icons around in the tool bar but it's weird that it behaves as four separate icons. Show more

The app broke with the Catalina upgrade. I reached out to the developer and received an email when the updated version was uploaded to the app store. This is a great app that allows you to control the Music app (formerly iTunes) from the menu bar. Show more

I was so pleased to see that BarTunes was updated for the transition from iTunes to Music. Often little apps kinda die when there are radical changes. Love BarTunes. Show more

Thanks to the developer for updating to Catalina. No longer opens iTunes/Music, but that is because of Apple.... everything else is right on point... very handy....

This app broke when Apple changed the name of iTunes to Music. After repeated attempts to contact the dev, no response.

so after upgrading to the latest OS, Bartunes no longers works. Hopefully they get this fixed 'cause it was a great app.

Since the update to Catalina, Bartunes seems to have stopped working.

It’s a great app, absolutely love it, I’ve been using it for years already! No need to reach to the keybaord if i have mouse or trackpad next to me. One thing I wish the developer would add is the ability to control Spotify app as well! That would be totally amazing! But seems like he kinda abandone it which is a bit sad :( Show more

Hello! I'm mostly writing a review here as more of an inqury. Is there an easy way to find/clear the cache taht retains the album artwork in BarTunes? I recently added an album to iTunes which I gave the incorrect album artwork to, and used BarTunes with it before noticing my error. I corrected the album artwork in iTunes, but the old/incorrect artwork is still reflected in BarTunes, and I'm not sure how to fix this. Any help would be much appreciated! Show more

Works great. No issues. Would love if possible to see star ratings next to the controls for those of us that sill love star ratings. Thanks.

1. The next/previous track buttons cannot be optionally removed. They're extremely annoying because I often hit them by mistake when trying to play/pause, which is nontrivally irritating when listening to long tracks (sets of hours' length) and losing my place. 2. For unclear reasons, the album artwork doesn't always show up. Show more

Thanks for adding missing functionality to iTunes. Now I can control iTunes from any desktop quickly and easily without disrupting my workflow.

Thank you for this super helpful menu bar app! I really use it all the time. Especially love seeing the album icon in the menu bar. Great stuff! Suggestion -- it would be convenient if you could open the album in itunes from the menu bar. Show more

Love it–just what you need and nothing more. I find it especially useful when using other applications and not wanting to go back to iTunes. For example, listening to music or transcribing an audio file into a word processor. Again, THANK YOU!!! Show more
