This thing does not really search for lyrics. It seldom shows album arts. It makes you look for everything. What does this thing really do? NOTHING. I am so sorry I bought it , not for the money but for the aggravation. Save yourself from that. Show more

Worked great until .... MacOS 10.15.4 and Music 1.0.4.104. Just stopped showing album covers (which is all its supposed to do!). Emailed support, but no fix ... yet. Show more

I've maybe only ever written one other reveiw but this software is everything I was looking for and more. I simply wanted a way to program global shortcuts to control my iTunes. But I love the integrated search engine, the artwork and lyrics features and seamless integration. Nice work. Show more

Just what I need, I only wish it had options to resize and reposition the text.

I've been using this for years. Absolutely love it. It's a must have, imo. Recetly I've noticed it crashing between tracks. Not always, but randomly, it seems. I click to skip tracks at times and suddenly it's gone and I have to open it again. Then I also have to quit & re-open iTunes, so it can see iTunes. Show more

I'm a long-time user of Bowtie, but it sadly stopped working with Catalina. TunesArt works great in macOS Catalina with the Music app. I did report one bug and the developers were very responsive to fix it. Recommended! Show more

I've been using TunesArt for several years now and it is still my favorite app for controlling iTunes. I have used many, many apps for this and TunesArt does the best of everything for me. I love being able to control music, volume, ratings, etc with shortcuts and I LOVE being able to pull up lyrics at anytime. Controls in the menubar are useful as well. The search feature is very slick. Those complaining about the lyric fetching don't seem to understand that it wasn't legal or following Apple's guidelines. Would you rather have the app completely pulled and not available for sale, or have a compltely awesome app without that one nice feature? I'm happy that the developer is doing what he needs to so that he can continue this awesome app. My only complaint is that updates take a little too long. Bug fixes are few and far between. With an app like this, updates are needed quickly when new versions of iTunes are released. I'm currently not able to get the previous and next track shortcuts to work. Show more

TunesArt is routinely crashing in macOS Mojave as soon as a track is played in iTunes (12.9). The developer has been unresponsive after an initial reply.

App seems to crash after upgrading to Mojave! :-/

Excellent app — does exactly what it’s supposed to, displays giant artwork on my desktop, and stays out of the way. Last.fm integration works perfectly.

My go to App for a pleasing display of my current track. Flexible and consistently works. Nice set of features as well. Hope the developer keeps this going!

This has tons of features, and does exactly what I want. Display lyrics on the desktop being the main one. About the bug - when you hover over the artwork, it changes to buttons and has a time progress bar. The bug is that the bar always says that 3 seconds have transpired in the song. It used to work, so I don't know if it is a bug just in the latest version or if something on my computer is messed up. I've contacted Jibapps support but haven't heard back. Show more

I've used a number of this type of iTunes companion, and this is the best so far. I really like the integration with Mac OS X notifications. It's more responsive than Sizzlingkeys for volume control changes. It's easy to configure, stays out of my way, and does what I need/want. Who could ask for more? Show more

Worked on Snow Leopard until latest iTunes update. I upgraded to Mountain Lion, and nothing showed up on screen. Took me two days to figure out what happened. The album art was moved so far down on my screen that it disappeared, and it was locked. Found this out by increasing the album art size to max, and then unlocked it, and moved it up. But the album art display won't consistently disappear when iTunes is closed, no matter the setting. Most of the time the last played album art remains on the desktop, which is not the right behavior. Show more

Product page claims that it displays lyrics when it clearly does not. It also claims that it will download album art when one is not found, this feature is what I bought the app for but it doesn't work. No album artwork is downloaded. I'm asking for a refund. Show more

My iTunes and TunesArt are crashing when the first music starts to play.

This is a great app that functions smoothly, has lots of options for customization, and does everything it says it can do.

It used to have a automatic lyrics write in fucntion on the past version. Why do they take it out?
