Why did the smartconverter only convert my audio for a few seconds and left 8 minutes audio unconverted? I have tried many times even reinstalled the app several times, its still the same result. Show more

I cannot load a movie from Final Cut Pro X. So what good is this program?

I've used the pro version of this app for years now and it has been great for many different file types. The only thing I wish for is the ability to see the target file size for each file type. I hope this is something that can be added to the pro version or this tool! Show more

Also, no additional settings for MP3 conversion. Am I converting at 320? 192? 256? Would love this information before I commit. I'll be looking for something else or using another free tool which has these basic features included. Show more

I needed to convert something to an M4V, but there was no option for that.

Works OK but when finishing the conversion the app automatically opens AppleTV. How do I turn that off? Driving me crazy.

Disappointed to find that although this has been around for some time, it has been updated to work with newer versions of OS X but they have been removed in favor of only the newest version. Won’t work for me at all, even though my computer continues to be everything I need. Developers: If you update your software to take advantage of features of the newest OS versions, why not just leave the old versions, frozen in time? If there is a bug or feature request from those users, at that time it makes sense to tell them that older OS versions are no longer supported, and the user will need to update their computer/OS to stay current. I like that I can just drag and drop files on the app to convert.

When someone wants to convert a video to another format, chances are they know the file extension they desire. This app only give convert options for "apple tv" "ipad" iphone" etc. Extremely annoying to have to sort through the different options and not just be able to select "convert to MP4" or "MOV." Does not work for me importing MTS files on an external network share on an M1 Mac.

I've been using this for years and have never come across a file it couldn't convert quickly to the format I needed. Highly recommended.

...but the auto send to the TV app is super obnoxious. Please give some way to disable this feature.

In the free version it seems to convert the file but then you can't find it... and program tries to sign you up for the paid version... BAD FORM

App works great but I had to download the free version from shedworx website to convert VOB files to MOV. I'm going to purchase the pro version which is supposed to be capable of converting multiple VOB files and merging them into a single MOV. Wish the app store version of the app supported VOB conversion functionality so I didnt have to download from the website. Show more

Absolutely Amazing, if your on Catalina and trying to convert .mov files mkv WITHOUT re-encoding(which all over programs on the itunes do,H.264 etc) this is the one to use. Simply rewraps your files without recompression! And it's fast! Show more

I had MP4 files that wouldn't play any sound in iMovie but with this app I managed to convert them all to fully iMovie supported mov files within about 5 minutes. Show more
