Could not sync with MIDI...DDJ_REV!..after i paid my $20 of course.

So first off, I wouldnt be writing this review had the application itself not asked me to when I opened it, which in and of itself is nice as it shows that the developers are happy to hear from their customers and open to their ideas about improving thier products in the areas it may be falling short as well as to opinions about its overall appeal. Even if that may be the case here, I am writing this review to say that this application is good but it could be great. It has an excellent A.I. that recognizes BPM even in high quality acapella tracks that would otherwise stump other “DJ” apps. However, it does lack several of the most basic features that other “lesser” DJ apps tend to have across the board, like basic sound FX and cutting/pasting tracks or music files/samples to a project. I could go on but I’d be nitpicking. Ultimately, its worth a download (at least to check it out), but by no means would I recommend it as a “go to” or primary DJ/Music Production application, just a useful little tool to keep at your disposal. (Disclaimer: I am referring to its “free” version, I have no idea if these things are addressed in the paid version but if they are its still not not exactly a good thing because they most definitely should be included in the free version as they are in practically every other basic DJing application). does not work with my DJ board

experienced dj, used alot of programs, serato, virtual dj, a few random ones my friends have had. this seems to be pretty intuitive having not and actually somewhat better because it is free and gives you access to all these awesome soundcloud lists. thank you for making this, a guy who was bored today Show more

this app seemsw really cool cant weait to see it in actyion.

I wanted something that would let me set up play lists for casual dances and adjust the speed when needed to fit a particular dance. There are some amazing and expensive DJ apps out there, but for some uses they do too much. Transitions is just right for me. I hope that it adds a way to make playlists and group music on my local disk. Right now it seems limited to grouping non-cloud music by folder. Show more

Add more song varieties

so far its nice but if you could stack the songs to be played rather then only place one song at a time in each side it would be easy 5 stars ,, unless i am not understanding how to stack the songs in a line to be played after each other.please tell me ,,, Show more

I have used this app for a few years, and it's only gotten better and better. In some cases, I prefer it over professional sound mixing software. There are NO ADS, NO PACKS, NO PAYMENTS. It synchronizes PERFECTLY with one's SoundCloud account. The only downside I have about this application cannot be helped; SoundCloud protects certain users' works from being discoverable, streamed, etc. either by the user's preference or the status of their account. Some of my favorite artists fall into this category. The good news is the application is not limited to SoundCloud; it can import songs from iTunes (not necessarily purchases) or the Music folder, which means that if I can obtain a track outside of SoundCloud in a download, I can run it alongside something that can be found through the search feature, and it intelligently identifies the tempo for me! What can be helped, but isn't completely necessary, with the SoundCloud search function is this: It doesn't always display all results from a search. Sometimes you'll have to be more specific. In my previous review, I wrote the following: "I can't imagine how this application could get any better except this one quirk: I would like to be able to hit one button that toggles playback on both tracks simultaneously, or for that matter any two buttons simultaneously. If I could select multiple buttons to trigger at once (like by holding the shift key while clicking, and hitting the space bar to press the button), that would make it much easier to achieve certain simple things, such as tape drops or toggling double-jumps and dual-loops. Currently, it has to be one button at time, so whenever I record a mix, it has a few moments of silence at the beginning unless I trick-start it, which just makes me need to attempt multiple more takes. But at least there is NO LATENCY in command responses, which has been the problem with many other virtual DJ boards I have tried." Update: The feature has been added!!! A few features I think might be good: 1) queues, and I don't mean markers. I mean like a queue for the next song. If this were to get in-app purchases, the only thing I could possibly want that it doesn't already have is a third track to mix with. There are some free online DJ boards that do have this, but they aren't nearly as reliable. 2) lately I have found it necessary to manually input a value for the tempo rather than tapping it out, but that's currently not an option. It seems totally doable, but there is no such function yet. This applies in two ways: firstly to manually set a track's original tempo, and secondly to change the playback speed to fit a certain tempo. 3) because several songs have multiple tempos, the automatic tempo-sensor can get thrown off sometimes, leading to improper alignment with other tracks and forcing me to desynchronize in order to align beats properly. The solution that comes to mind is a way to drag a track's alignment bar within the timeline to manually set the exact placement of the first beat and all subsequent beats corresponding with the track's 'original' tempo. This program allows you to record mixes in an uncompressed .flac codec, toggle pitch shift, toggle sync, smart sync, detect bpm, and so much more I'd run out of words on this review. This is my go-to app for song mixing. It's got super quick-and-simple operation, and its interface is intuitive and user-friendly. I've never encountered an error that wasn't my own fault while using Transitions DJ. Truly the best app in the App Store for the purposes it serves, and definitely worth supporting if possible. Transitions DJ is self-explanatory and easy to use. During the pandemic I have been using the tool for church and it has been an awesome experience. I haven't even used all the features. Show more

my enjoyment would be more enjoyable only if the app could connect to my account as it was when I first started using it. Now it won't connect to my soundCloud account for some odd reason. That's not making me happy. Show more
