versatile, cute graphics and good learning. choice of percussion or melody is great. songs are familiar, lots of options, and that monkey is adorable. PLEASE UPDATE FOR IOS11!

MONKEY DRUM IS LIFE

I have to say as a 96 year old man who his slowly losing his hearing loss if not mind that I love this app and it teaches me the importance of questioning the government and my sexuality. I think that I now what to get into romantic relationship with a monkey, however the United prohibits this, so alas I am moving to Uganda. Thank for teaching me this, I am on a new spiritual level. Cute. 10 month old loves it, but after heart fills and coins given, screen goes black. Game sounds can be heard and coin icon remains in upper left corner, but unable to return to game. Must close and reopen. Otherwise adorable game and engaging for little ones. Show more

My baby has been addicted to this app since he was six months old. It has helped me distract him at crucial times, the last of which was getting his blood drawn. We've been saving up points to get stuff, but I'm just going to buy the deluxe version because the developers deserve the money. Show more

Deleted NO sound

The sound didn't work for me. Seems like a cute app, but I had to delete.

I downloaded this app to entertain my seven month old. She is amazed by the different instruments and sounds you can make with it. This free one is amazing and the fact that it doesn't have any ads is great. I will be buying the deluxe version very soon in order to unlock some more cool features. Show more

I am a music teacher and downloaded a bunch of educational apps to see which I could utilize. My boyfriend and I sat down and went over each one, deleting the ones which weren't up to snuff. We got to Monkey Drum and probably spent about 20 minutes playing with it ourselves!! It's like a drum machine for kids...and I love it! It's not the most musically educational app, but makes the kids want to play music and explore different avenues. Super cute and great interface...I love it! Show more

I work with kids with special needs, and every one of them loves this app! I often use it as a reward since it is fun, but they are still working on skills like waiting and turn taking. I love seeing their faces when they realize the monkey is playing what they did! And one the other day started clapping along with the monkey. I love it!!! Show more

Great app! I'm 11, and me and my 6 year old brother love playing this app! But one of the anoyying things is that once you fill in the squares while your making the song ( like on the slide with a heart) after your done with the song you have to erease all the squares. I know all that I'm saying sounds confusing, but if you get the app (which I encourage you to do) you'll understand. Show more

We gave our 3 year old Son one of our old iPhones and loaded it with applications for him. Mostly educational ones but he has to have some fun ones too. No matter where you move the Monkey Drum icon he swipes through the pages until he finds it (we tried it). This is by far his favorite application for sure and plays it all the time, but we do flash cards and similar ones first and this is his fun app. We did notice a problem with the application staying on and not letting the phone go into sleep mode leaving the screen on and draining the battery. I am sure everyone with kids know they will turn EVERYTHING ON, but won't turn it off. I sent the developer a message about this and got a reply very fast, within an hour or so saying he would correct the bug from the app not letting the phone go into sleep mode. Amazing person he kept me posted every step of the way all the way until its fixed, with an email saying log into apple and update it. Problem solved :-) This application my son loves and I must say the developer takes pride in his applications by correcting and keeping me posted. I have applications with bugs I reported many times to other developers and was lucky if I got an email back. Not to mention other developers have had bugs in their apps for MANY MONTHS and do nothing. This developer of Monkey Drum made a great application and has GREAT Customer Service to match. Bottom line is your child will LOVE MONKEY DRUM and if they are fussy waking up from a nap start this application up and you have a happy baby. Show more
