Missing some very important features from older version
No way to rename files in finder based on values. No keyboard shortcuts for things like Guessing Tags.

Still does what it needs to
    Simple, great.

    Worked Ok for a while
This app worked well for a while and has recently ‘disappeared’ - meaning that when I open an MP3 file the tag window does not appear. Now useless. I wrote ‘support’ but have not heard back. Show more

Still works in 10.12; great but not perfect
It feels like this app has been abandoned by its developer, which is a shame, because I use it frequently as I import and tag my CD collection. Thankfully it still functions in 10.12, but I am worried about its future. It won’t work indefinitely, after all. It does a really good job tagging pretty much any kind of taggable audio file you throw at it, which is great. I wish it could also preview tracks. It certainly doesn’t need to play the whole track, but a quick 15-30 second preview might be helpful. Another small-but-helpful feature (which I requested once upon a time when the dev was still active) was a way to see the size of any embedded artwork. A tooltip on mouseover, for instance, or just a display beneath the art in the artwork pane. Anyway, it’s a good app though I’m not sure I can recommend an apparently abandoned app that costs $5 when there are doubtless other tagging apps which might do as well for less (or nothing!). Replay Gain
Tag can calculate Replay Gain. Handy! (Replay Gain's Album Gain is recognized by iTunes; see Get Info > Options > volume adjust)

    Meh
The app is not very intuitive. It is clunky and either there is no artwork or there is a glitch.

Not an improvement over iTunes or Audacity
I don’t see any way to add new tags - just edit the default ones. I can do that for free with Audacity or iTunes so why is this app $4.99? Also - not including a help file seems shoddy for $4.99. What about changing your description to “Luxury tag editor - allows you to do the same work as free tag editors, but lavishly demonstrate your social status by throwing away $4.99?” I’m not an ad-writer, but that has a nice ring to it. Pros: Let’s you edit tag CONTENTS. Cons: Doesn’t let you edit TAGS. Also, did I mention it costs $4.99 but you can get same results with popular free software such as iTunes and Audacity? Show more

Does what it is supposed to do.
I am running an iterate radio. One of the things that we need to do is to make sure that the songs that we play are taged correctly. I have bought several programs that said that they did this. So Far this is the only one that has worked for me every time. I am very happy with the purchase of this program. Because of what else I have bought to do this I can tell you unequivocally that this program is cheap in comparison and it does what it is supposed to. There are plenty of times that using iTunes to edit tags for what we do is simply not feasible. I wish I had bought this long ago. Show more

    Needs work
This app looks nice. But it doesn't save your time. It doesn't even make tag editing easier than using iTunes. I mean, try to edit an album or two with it, you will instantly realize how inefficient the workflow is. Improvements/features I would love to see in future updates: 1. Keyboard shortcuts for jumping to the next or previous file. 2. Keyboard shortcuts for removing individual files, and clearing the whole file list. 3. Ability to strip all tags from audio files. 4. Ability to rename audio files according to their tags. Show more

    Just what I needed
I have an Astel & Kern AK120 portable music player. Tag took my jumble of flac files and tagged them so that they're organized by artist, album, and allowed me to add album art. The developer is very responsive to suggestions but Tag is already a pleasure to use. Show more

    Works Well
Nice little program. Works well and does not crash even when processing hundreds of files at a time. My main gripe is with the album gain. When adding multiple folders (each folder equals one album) the program treats the list as 1 album. It should recognise that each folder is a different album and act accordingly. Another addition I would like to see are buttons accross the top of the main window so you don't have to goto the menus all the time. Overall this is the nicest tagging program I have found in the app store. Show more

    Not so good
Everytime I double-click on an MP4, this program opens, instead of a movie player of some sort. I do not think this product is programmed correctly. I decided to delete it, but got the message that the program was still open, even though I had quit it. I'd stay away until the program is more stable. There's no uninstaller either. I had to search for feisty-dog to find all the associated files (two of which were containers in the Library folder). I never used the program to fix tags, but it launched when it should not have. A Great Start
This is a really good app with the potential to grow much further.

I think this is a must have tool if you might need to edit music tags.
As basically a Windows guy who purchased my MAC mainly for hi-res music playback, I find myself missing a MAC version of the program dbpoweramp. Between Pure Music and iTunes, I find I have enough music file conversion utility but for getting the last music file details (Doors; Door,The; The Doors; etc.) correct for consistent showing and grouping in iTunes, I need a tag editor. iTunes does a fine job but not with FLAC and some other formats, and the file must be imported into iTunes (first) in order to edit the tags. This program is the best for music tag editing (in the MAC world) I have thus far found. And, it works! Show more

Simple tag editing works OK, auto lookup not so much
Simple tag editing works fine, no issues. However, who really wants to edit every tag manually? There does not seem to be any look-up ability, or if there is, it does not work. If you are looking for a full feature package like "Tag&Rename" in the Windows world, this is not it. It does work for simple updates as advertised. Show more
