    Where are the minor chords?
Does not show any shapes for minor chords. Can I get a refund?

    Worth It
If the guitarist makes a consistent commitment, this app will produce the results. This is a great way to learn elements of music theory as it applies to the guitar.

Need an update to work with the current IOS
    Needs update

    Lacking
Not a lot of detail for such a highly rated app, especially for a beginner. The app is also in need of update so that it will continue to work with newer versions of IOS according to Apple yet it's still being sold. Show more

    Good stuff
I am enjoying the app - especially finding the nicely-worded explanations and slow ramping-up of the intensity of the exercises very helpful.

    Perfect learning tool
Don't let the older design style fool you -- this app is the most effective way to learn the fretboard hands-down. David Mead truly understands the brain's learning process. I recommend getting this in combo with JustinGuitar's Note Trainer app, and David Mead's own Guitar Gym app. Show more

    Very helpful
The body of material here is very good and explains a lot about the CAGED system. The beauty of the app comes through for me in the quizzes. Practicing these will help you know you fingerboard and chords so much better! Show more

    Great app
It's been amazing in helping find root notes over the entire neck of the guitar.

    Impressive and deep
Fantastic app. Rich with content. You can spend hours with it it. Well thought out. Any chance of a triad app next?

    Not Brilliant but good
This is a pretty good system for getting used to the CAGED system of getting around your fretboard. Tends less to teach than give you exercises this is okay if your not a beginner. In which case you will need something more educational. Pretty good for intermediate and above though. Of course when you think about it, the CAGED system is not exactly complicated. Along with that of the apps in this series this is a pretty good educational tool. Show more

    There is no magic bullet
It's okay. Lessons are really basic. Timers are a little off in the exercises. Also, it does not support landscape mode, only portrait. Hummm.... Even though I wrote a review, it bugs me to write a review, even if I say no thanks.... Show more

    No Learning Curve!
I purchased this app based on the high ratings others reviewers gave it, and was almost immediately disappointed. Although the lessons spell out the CAGED system fairly well, the exercises are hopelessly difficult for a newbie. There is no gradual learning here. The learning curve is a cliff! Even the first exercises expect you to regurgitate any chord in any position. There's good information here, but no progressive skill building. We learn best in small doses and this app teaches the concepts, but gives us no exercises to gradually apply this knowledge. This app desperately needs simple exercises that take one chord and teaches us two positions. Start us in the familiar root position. Explain how the CAGED acronym works. (You skipped that!) Then give use a nice little two position jam, then slowly build our skills by adding one more position, one at a time. Do this for each chord. Be sure to drill us on the unusual fingerings, like G. Then mix things up a bit by giving us two different chords and showing us how to play them in different positions. Again, give us a fun little two chord jam, then add progressive lessons that add one more chord or one more new position. And please change things up a bit so we don't get bored. Finally, how about giving us a familiar song with a simple three chord progression, and teaching us a variety of position combinations that flow together well? Give us some fun jam tracks to play along with. I would love to guided through the process of getting the CAGED system under my fingertips. This app explains, but does not teach. Show more

    Dangerously close to copyright infringement
Feels like a lift from the guitar program called Fretboard Logic by Bill Edwards. I can believe all the pentatonics and minor chords were ignored on this app. Save your money. Show more

Where have you been all my life?!
That's what these apps say to me, they're that good, and I'd know, I've got 20+ guitar apps on my iPhone. Me. Mead feeds you knowledge, then ensures you know how to use it, in a way that's actually fun, I got the Chord Coach also, sand it's as good as this app! Perfect for beginners, intermediate players will learn too. Can't recommend this app enough. Know the whys, not just the hows!!! Show more

    Very good
This is really a great tool for learning the fretboard and the Caged system. There are, however a few bugs. The quiz will not go all the way through the 10 questions - it will come up blank after a random number of questions - varies each time. I have never been able to complete the quiz. Also, when doing both the chord exercises (finding and building), I have noticed that there is more than one option that can be the correct answer. This is confusing. Show more

    Love it
Hope you keep adding new tips / tricks for learning the CAGED method and play along tracks. Also it would be great if you could Have a way to keep track of my progress while going through the caged system maybe you could highlight each lesson in a different color after I've already gone through it. One other frustrating thing while going through your lessons is that when it comes to the play option for the game if I can't figure out which chord shape this is there should be a show me button so then I can see what the correct answer was please fix this thanks!
