Love it! But where is DM2?
I love this app and have used it for many years. I have DM2 on my ipad and I am always wondering why they don’t bring it to iPhone!? Also, if it ever is brought to iPhone, I don’t want this version to be discontinued, I want both versions on my phone! I never use DM2 simply because I rarely have my iPad with me, but I ALWAYS have my phone. Please bring a version of DM2 to the iPhone! <3 Show more

    Tempo
I am presciently embarrassed by the almost certain ease of the solution to my problem. First, this app is nothing short of spectacular. A clever operator could work an entire live (PA) performance with DM-1 alone and it is ENDLESS fun in creation-mode in your environment of choice. If you are as obsessed with drum machines as I am or just like an effective sketch pad, pick this immediately. My problem is that I MOSTLY USE the iPhone version of DM-1. I never noticed before today, I CANNOT LOCATE TEMPO CONTROL. The experience is akin to thinking you might have seen something supernatural; I can’t get my head around it. So again, I am preemptively embarrassed by how stupidly easy this answer will be. Show more

    App resize for iPhone 12
Please make the update to resize this app ???. It’s literally the best drum app out there, without question.

Not sized for the iPhone 12
The developers did not resize the app for the iPhone 12. Many of the buttons are off screen with no way to get to them. Typically they check functionality on all platforms before releasing. Fail. Show more

I need to know why this app crashes everytime I try to open it
The app used to work pre-12.2, but now it says it will use an older version which crashes the system. I shouldn’t have to update my phone just to use your app when it worked perfectly fine before. And I’m not jailbroken so it’s not that. I’m on 12.1.4. And before I had to restore my phone to its current firmware, DM1 ran fine. Now, nothing. And that’s a shame because I paid for all the extras and now I have to pay for it again for my iPad mini 5. iMPC never gave me these problems. But when this app worked, I used it 20x more than the Akai app. Show more

Love this app but not working on IPhone X
Recently got an iPhone X and opened up DM1. The screen is zoomed in way too far and no way to go into landscape mode. It is unusable this zoomed in. Show more

    User Kit option?
No option to create your own kit. Can’t upload samples. iPhone version at the moment is limited.

    Best Drum Machine App. Period!
I’ve used this app for 4-5 years now. You don’t use something that long if it’s not good. Like other drum machines you do have to play with in certain boundaries, but this app is limitless compared to all other apps. Is straight forward and easy to use. No cartoon colors or in app purchases every time you open up the app. First off you have every type drum kit imaginable. From dub bass to Led Zeppelin type kits. I believe it’s a 100+ kits. Then you can pick your favorite pieces from any kit to create a custom kit. All perimeters are tweekable. Level, pitch, length, pan and you can even reverse any piece of the kit. Once you have your kit, I usually play in the boundaries of the 32 step model. Placing kick drums, snare and high hats in place to help start the beat I’m going for. By placing the snare in different spaces of your beat, allows you to change tempos during your song. Granted these tempo changes between beats are stricked to a 1/2 time up or 1/2 time down of your selected song tempo. After I have your intro, verse, chorus, bridge and alternates of those beats completed, you can build your song up in the apps SUPER EASY to use sequencer. This sequencer is honestly the best out of all the other drum machine apps out there. Once you have your song, you can adjust the tempo, and swig, plus add delay, reverb, compression and other effects to your song that you can adjust in real time with easy sliders. I could go on for hours on how much you can do with this app. Just know that if your a guitarist/bass/keyboard player and have no drumming skills, this app allows you to easily create drum tracks that you can call your own. It gives you an authenticity of creation that pre programmed drum loops will never have. Even better, the sound quality is studio worthy in comparison. If your like me and can’t afford the over priced drum software out there, this is next best thing(in my opinion). Show more

    iPad version?
First off - dug this app, it’s so much fun. The iPad version looks identical to this iPhone app, but you have to pay $4.99 for it? Why not just install the iPhone version on an iPad? Show more

    Many thanks
I’ve been waiting for this, and it’s very promising. Thank you to the developers. I’m hoping for at least 3/4 and 5/4 time signature capability. The addition of a tap tempo would likewise be really helpful. Interaction between open and closed hi-hats would be the icing on the cake. Thanks again. Show more

    I want 3/4!
DM1 is an excellent app for the price, on both iPad and iPhone. I really love its ability to be so quickly programmable and that it can run in audio background mode so you can jam with another instrument you may have on your phone! Show more

    Always loved this app
It’s fun and easy to use. Very cool that the Korg Volca Beats are now on there, but you’ve got a picture of the Volca Bass!

    Very well developed
This app is amazing and fun. You can export as .wav or .aac for use in many DAW’s on iPhone or on computer of transferred. There are so many settings to play around with. I am surprised how well the app is designed. Very easy to use and I am still finding out new things I can do with the app. It’s fun to play around with while you explore and navigate through all the menus. VERY WELL DONE developers. Hope to see more apps like this in the future. Thanks! Show more

    Major bug to fix
This app is a great mid level drum machine for song writers! One can go as crazy with time signature changes in a single song as one wishes to (7/4 to 17/8 to 23/16 etc), however I have experienced problems repeatedly with the “song loop” switch not responding. Many times it reads “off” when it is on which could be a disaster live. A five star product (for an iPhone drum machine) aside from this major bug. I am deleting this app and calling it a five dollar loss like sooo many other poorly designed half assed iPhone “would be”useful musical apps. Show more

    Well designed
Exceptional craftsmanship. Don't really use the app, but it is definitely worth the money.

    DM1 on IPad question......??
I’ve already purchased the DM1 for my Mac & my iPhone. I just recently got a new iPad- if I want the DM1 on there, do I need to purchase it a 3rd time or is there a code I can use to download it? Thanks! Show more
