    Measurements wildly inaccurate iphone 11
Not sure what’s broken, but I tried a few objects and it’s off by a huge margin. It seems to be multiplying the value by 2 or 3 as I rotate where even very small toe ins measure as 25 degrees. Hope they fix it! Useful idea. Show more

    Less than Useless
This app may work for a small pair of bookshelf speakers or a non-critical system, but for anyone who owns electrostats or other large speakers you’re just wasting your time and money. Stick to a tape measure and your ears. Show more

    Works
Nothing fancy but it works as expected, much better than trying to eyeball the toe in . Good use of a dollar.

    App is useless
Don’t waste your money. This thing doesn’t work for me. Ridiculous...

    Great app
Very accurate. Much faster and easier than using a tap measure and other tools.

    False assumptions
The app’s Guide says speakers and listener should form an equilateral triangle. This is false and in many, if not most cases, not practicable. The best that most setups can hope for is speakers pointed at the same spots relative to one’s ears, but even this depends in the listening room and thus needs to be adjusted via listening. Measuring angles can be a useful starting point, depending on the location, but no more. I’ve been using a protractor downloaded from online for years and found it handy. This app is a little more precise, but doesn’t replace listening and experimentation. Show more

App does not actually do an audio test
This application is quite neat, but it is an angular mesaurement tool and does not perform any sort of audio analysis. Regardless of this limitation it is still useful for setting the speaker angle in your studio or home theater. Show more

    Works
    This new update works great.

    Poorly Designed
This is not finding optimal speaker placement. It generically assumes every speaker in every room is the same. Your better off experimenting by ear.

    Works
Wish it had more to do. Maybe some tips or info.

    Update Trickery!
This did not show up in the updates as a JBL product, it showed up as an Genelec Speaker Angle app update. So why mislead users into believing they’re updating their "GENELEC" app? WHY? Show more

    Totally Worth It
This app is just one of many reasons why I love Genelec, both as a company and as an end user. There's so much misinformation on the net about audio and this app addresses one of the most basic and necessary tenets of good audio practice. The angle of your monitors is so essential to yr mixes. Genelec, like Rane, another company concerned with spreading the gospel of good audio practices, are helping everyone with this app. Above and beyond all of that, this app works very well. Very much worth 5 stars. Show more

    Great app
Excellent app for getting decent imaging in my studio. Quick and efficient.

    Not close
On a 5s and previously an iPhone 4, both times experienced a significant difference between the L + R speakers with the tracking of said angle toe-in. I would not buy again. Save your dollar for an extra shot in your cappuccino. Shame on you Genelec. I am done wasting my time with this. Show more

    Missing something maybe?
I think this app could be better, but after using it and moving my speakers to where I could get an industry recommended angle on my mains, I have decided it does do a good job at what it does do, and my system sounds larger and has a better stereo image than it had the way I originally had it set. Helped out a lot and saved Time!
This app made it apparent to me how much I was missing with the angle of my speakers. What would make this app the bees neez would if there was distance chart or something for measuring the listening distance from the monitor. I'm sure there is some sort of chart out there in googleville but in this app would make it super awesome. Distance + speaker angle= optimal : ) all in all well worth whatever I paid for it. A must even for the tech geek who wants their surround sound system set for best results.......that was me when I put mine up. Show more

    Nice!
Rockin' a tighter, 30° toe-in (was around 20° or lower before!). Imaging is greatly improved! Definitely worth the buck!
  • Kourq, 03.02.2013
Pretty good and will get you close
I found the results slightly disappointing. In reality, it was off by about 3 degrees. It was a quick fix, and now I'm rocking. Worth the buck or whatever, but best double check with a ruler. Show more

What a cool app...simple down to earth. Saves lots of time when using multiple studios. Used to use string and a tape measure Benjamin Schultz
