    Constant connectivity problems
    This is hands down the worst smart home/IOT app I’ve ever had to use. It’s literally worked once, and then randomly worked one more time. And it screwed up my ability to regularly connect to my Spotify through the native “devices” function. Awful. All around awful. Show more

    Annoying
    I’ve had many problems with this system. Very limited capabilities of what it can play. Cannot find a way to play a podcast. Very frustrating. Do not spend your money. It doesn’t want interface with most tech in our home. Huge waste of money and it eats up our time trying. Show more

    Nuvo systems not worth the $$$$
    Numerous problems experienced with Nuvo. Software updates are practically non-existent. And when i did one, it shut down our system! I often have to reboot the router to get the system to work. Last time i had a problem — with Apple music — the customer rep said he would get back to me, never did, then his email reply said he left the firm. We bought our equipment less than 3 years ago yet now find out it’s discontinued. Touchscreen for the wall is too small and is so insensitive it is nearly worthless. Show more

    Disappointed in the Nuvo interface
    The Nuvo player amp with my Sonos speakers sound superb BUT and it’s a huge BUT, there are a whole bunch of glitches that will drive you crazy! 1) If you stream Sirius satelite radio it will play for about 35 minutes and then just drop it and when you try to connect it will tell you “channel not available” on everything, but after an hour it’s ready to go again. 2) This system falls off our network at least once a month and doesn’t auto re connect. You have to run a hard wire to your router and re introduce the player to the network. This is ridiculous! Antiquated technology! I am searching now for another option to replace Nuvo because after 7-8 months of this nonsense i’ve had it! Show more

    It repeats or gets stuck
    I love the idea of it. However, when playing playlists it gets stuck repeating the same song again and again. Or it interjects songs again into your music queue. Issues with volume also, sometimes louder randomly than other times. None of these issue if listening to radio. Show more

    Mediocre at Best
    The compatibility with my IPad and IPhone is mediocre at best. If I group several sound zones together, I have to play a game of “catch me if you can” in Spotify to select the grouped zones. The grouped zones will bounce around be difficult to select. In the most recent update, I lost the ability to turn up or down the volume while in Spotify. This is an issue because now I have to unlock my device, go into the Nuvo app (which takes forever to open) and then I can control volume. I thought updates are supposed to make the product better?!?! The sound quality and the ability to control zones is great. The compatibility with my devices is garbage. If you are considering sound platforms, I would seriously consider a different device. Show more

    Nuvo app is horrible
    Well let’s start with the app will connect with everyone’s device except mine and all the settings are the same. The app limits the amount of stations you can view on the Pandora section. It has a poor UI and very clunky. Show more

    This App is GARBAGE
    The UI for this app is stuck in 2006. Every single time I want to listen to something in any of my zones, I have to execute the service I want to listen to, twice. Every time. Also, the location of the volume slide is moronic. You are forced to use the volume buttons on the iPhone, otherwise you exit the application by swiping. There is a reason that NuVo is not supported by several home automation systems. It’s because their technology is in the Stone Age, and they will not adapt no matter how many people complain.     Disappointed w/ App & Interface
    My fiancé and I are very disappointed with this app. We just built a new house and spent a lot on f money to have speakers installed in several rooms. The sound quality of the speakers is great but the headache of using the app hardly makes them worth using. We constantly get the connecting wheel even when our internet connection is strong. We even bought a Linksys Mesh Wi-Fi router system to strengthen our signal throughout the house but it did not help. We can usually get music playing after fighting through the connection delays but even after that, we can’t change what we’re listening to because the app wazzes out. The group playing music disappears or the group appears but the actual zones playing music disappear. Even if we’re lucky enough for it to work correctly, which happens about 1 out of 10, the music sources are not very friendly. I use Amazon music—I can pull up my library but cannot shuffle songs or search songs within my library. We’re best off finding a station or playlist and forgetting about it. Another issue is volume control. The volume feature is nice in that you can set the volume for different zones. However, you have to go all the way into the currently song playing which is a bit confusing in itself and click on the volume button to adjust it. Clicking the volume control buttons on your phone won’t work unless you select the volume control button in the app. Additionally, this button is very close to the app “bar” at the bottom of the screen on iPhones. Because the volume button is so small, it can be very touchy trying to adjust the volume by dragging your finger. If you or someone else gets a phone call, trying to adjust the volume quickly becomes a much longer task than it should be to turn the volume down. Show more

    Terrible UI for great sounding speakers
    The system sounds great however the user interface is the worst. Not sure how they can justify charging the price they do for the equipment when 60% of the time I can’t even get my app to recognize my zones. Show more

    Much Improved
    The latest version of the app 2020.2 includes support for AirPlay2, and by extension, Apple Music (not a direct music source integration yet). Also, with the new line of Nuvo tech that incorporates AirPlay functionality, even a legacy system can take advantage. What a huge improvement this is! Our system is working and sounding amazing in 2020! We’ve had ours since 2016 and it’s never been better. Thanks for these improvements and advancements. Show more
