Straight up doesn't work.

Just to clarify, I love this thing! I work in so many applications and desktops at one time, and I hate having to open and close Spotify and then have to readjust my desktops. My only complaint is the size. The buttons are quite tiny lol. I would love to be able to adjust the size. Thanks for the great solution though! This app is terrible! You can’t move the window so it sticks out at the top of the bar—but then it doens’t stay open when I switch screens. The whole point (for me) of having a miniplayer is so I can see what artist/track is playing without having to leave Spotify open. I’ve tried a few of these (because Spotify still hasn’t made a miniplayer of their own!) and this is the worst one. At least it was only 2.99 but still a waste. Don’t bother with this one. Show more

The icons are so tiny. Make them just *a little* bigger or wider (maybe remove the oval frame?) or stretch the icons just a little more, or create the option for different sizes? The purpose of the Menu Bar icon (the entire app) is to enable convenience, and playing with my mouse to ensure I am clicking in just the right spot due to such tiny icons removes that layer of convenience that I’ve paid for. all i want is a “save to music” button for Spotify and you are mine forever...

great app for manage and search without get out from your environment work, nice album artwork presentation. it would be useful if you add the "save to your music" button

If you are cold, this is the app for you! Your laptop will be nice and toasty after just a few minutes. If you don’t your fan running constantly and your battery draining faster than donuts at a weight watchers meeting, you might want to avoid this. Show more

App appears to be broken under 10.10. Wondering if Dev plans a fix.

Spotify updated on yosemity and does not work anymore

This app worked perfectly within seconds of purchase. I didn’t even have to restart Spotify or my computer. I purchased, installed, and moments later could hit “next” super easy. No more switching apps during my workday. Thanks! Show more

This app does accomplish what I was hoping to do. I wish that the documention was a bit clearer on the fact that this app needs to be running on the computer you are trying to control, and the one you are controlling from. I also wish it had support for thumbs up and thumbs down on spotify radio. Show more

Easy to get up and running, search functionality appears to work very well. Only 4 stars because you cannot select a new playlist to play from the app.

I don’t know if v2 is really a huge improvement. My settings are still lost, or at least which mac I’m controlling, I have to reselect it each time. The new search functionality is exciting but it doesn’t seem to allow actually playing the search results (I don’t find this very useful then). But nonetheless BarRemote is the only thing out there that does this sort of spotify control and for that I’m thankful. I hope at some point Mircea might open a forum where we can vote for new features and complain about bugs! ;-) Show more

paid for application but, it never successfully downloaded. Don’t waste your time

I will change this review if playlist can be browsed through. All you can do is goto the next and previous track. Kind of pointless…

Add the ability to choose/edit playlists and control volume via iPhone/iPad and this is a 5 STAR without a doubt. UPDATE SOON, SUMMER IS COMING!
