Well, this doesn't work with Catalina's new Music app. I'm hoping it'll be updated, but I can't find any place on the author's website (even by clicking the "Support" link in the App Store) to leave an inquiry. I like this program a lot and hate to lose it. 5 stars if it gets updated soon. Show more

Has multiple viewing options, runs in the background, and opens at start up. As perfect a music app as I could as for.

The issue I’m now having with this app is that once I have played music on iTunes and then finish the last song and then quit iTunes, iTunes will continue to re-open itself, the only fix around that is to close the music buddy app entirely from the menubar so that iTunes can remain closed, fix that and you get 5 stars, other than that it works when it’s there. Great Idea , however the Menu Bar icon vanishes when trying to switch between ITunes and Spoify. If this could be updated to fix bug the app would be great and also usable . as it stands now its not(usable). I’m running Yosemite 10.10.2 on a MacBook Pro 8.1 Model Show more

I've used MusicBuddy for the last month or so before I chose to write this review. Needless to say, I love the control that I have when using MusicBuddy. Imagine this: You're out with a couple buddies on a Saturday night and this pretty little thing has been eyeing you all night. You're trying to stay cool, be in control - luckily you have MusicBuddy to back you up… All your music control in one place. All of a sudden, Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up." comes on. What?! You can't Rick Roll right infront of the girl of your dreams. Instead, you whip out your MacBook Pro, do some sweet computer tricks without even looking at the keyboard(WOW!) and change that song straight to "What is love?" - the perfect mood setter. Needless to say, with MusicBuddy(aka ultimate wingman), you can get the girl. 10/10 Show more

I listen to music constantly while I'm working on my Mac and it isn't uncommon for me to wonder what I'm listening to. It's nice having that info ever-present in the menu bar! No switching apps to find out. Show more
