    Great curated list
Wish audio quality could be improved on most streams. Bandwidth available but no love from broadcasters. I would like to lists that are by stream quality!

Swiss knife of digital music world
I was a CD music fanatic but when CD s became mere low quality cousins ( pristine music source close to master tapes in 1990s but now a low if music source with equalizer applied and loudness boosted) . I was lost in wild because I was not ready for taking the records route which needs hunting old records and praying to god that they are not messed up in decades of use by previous owners. I had so many CDs, had Spotify premium and Amazon HD. But had to use my iPhone to connect to my DAC. switching music means had to involve unlocking phone and a small walk from couch to stereo system. Enter Node2i. Nirvana attained…. Thanks Blue sound… Show more

    Ditched Sonos
After 10 years, I made the switch to enjoy the higher resolution offered by Bluesound. I know MQA has its critics but my ears prefer the format with its depth, soundstage and clarity. I have Apple, Prime and Tidal accounts and prefer the latter. My primary complaint with BluOS is it struggles to compile my list of Tidal tracks. This is an annoyance not a deal-breaker as once I find my tune the listening experience makes up for it all. Show more

    Stopped working on new iOS.
Something is not right as of lately. A no. Updated iPhone on 16.0 can connect to my nodes but not anything after. 16.1 and 16.2 no luck. Please update.

    Loses connection
Periodically loses connection to the Bluesound Powernode. Haven't found how to reliably connect.

    Radio paradise song glitching
Song playing is always a song ahead or behind. Pressing thumbs up causes it to flip out.

    Not a fan
The experience is bad. It consistently loses connection to my NAD amp mid way through a listening session and the only way to restore the app connection is to restart the amp (even though Spotify connect via the Spotify app works just fine). This needs to be a better experience. I’m really tired of using this app. Show more

    Disconnections
The Node keeps dropping from my network. I have to unplug each time to see it on the app or tidal connect.

    A fantastic digital audio player!
Over the past two years I’ve been converting my classical CD collection of more than 30,000 tracks to lossless digital audio that I play with Bluesound’s Vault 2i. The BluOS app is the database and player with which you play the audio, and it’s a first-rate program. It’s visually impressive, and it allows you to browse and search your audio collection using any and all metadata categories. (You’ll most likely need a good metadata editor, by the way. It’s surprising how often the metadata attached to CD audio files is incorrect or incomplete.) Show more

    Much improved
I’ve been using Bluesound since their second generation of products. I have had a Gen 2 Node, a Node 2i and the new 2021 Node that I’m reviewing here plus a Pulse Mini 2i. All of them have been pretty good. In the beginning there were a lot more bugs and other issues where they would want to push firmware updates only when I wanted to listen to music. That phase has passed now and I’m so impressed with the refinement of this product to the extent that I would rate it over every other music streaming platform that I have used including Sonos, Heos, Google Chromecast, the Cambridge Audio CXN system and the Wiim Mini. Why do I love it so much besides the reliability I started with? It supports lots of platforms with hi res streams. Radio Paradise, Tidal, Neil Young Archives with dedicated interfaces that look developed and not like afterthoughts. Tidal and Spotify Connect are excellent. What does the app miss? Chromecast support would have been cool but it’s probably a licensing issue. In guess one other thing that I have noticed is that it was a lot less reliable when I had my NAD C658 pre. That was a hot mess staying updated, but other than those small complaints, I think it’s the ultimate unless you want to spring $700 for Roon. And that’s only from what I’ve read about Roon. Thank you to the Bluesound team for your excellent efforts in building and maintaining this product. Show more

    Meh app
I would much rather control my Bluesound node through the Qobuz app instead of going through Blueos

    Garbage
I only use this app bc I have to bc of my bluesound amp. It constantly loses connection to the amp and I have to pull the power to the amp. That’s a bad time. I wish I could just use Tidal. I can! I know. But I want the audio quality to be maximum. And that’s the only reason I use it. Show more

    Great speakers, crap app
As noted, speakers - Pulse 2i and Flex in my case - are great. App and support are total crap. Yes, DO believe the 1star reviews; in a time of truly excellent apps, coming across something so shoddy is a surprise. Instructions are minimal and generally don’t work. Our set up is basic: 2i and Flex on home network (no other speakers, no conflicting apps) controlled via iPad mostly. Strong signal throughout house (Infinity router and extenders in small house). App constantly drops the speakers and will not reconnect reliably. Sometimes rebooting everything (an incredible pain) solves the issue, sometimes not. Link to Spotify - probably THE most common music app, is particularly bad. One can “open” Spotify within the app and it will still refuse to connect over wireless. One can connect over Bluetooth (NOT the point of having the system) and sometimes that will work. Several times deleting the app entirely and starting over has been required…. BluOS may have some deal with Radio Paradise since it consistently defaults to RP as input. Again, speakers themselves are great and we often connect analog to use them after app wireless connections have failed. I can only assume that app development and problem-solving are minimal priorities. Truly wish I had not invested almost $1000 in the setup. Show more

    App won't stay open anymore
Used to work okay, but now every time I launch the app it opens for about one second then closes. Tried reinstalling but no luck. What happened?
