This app is incredibly unstable. It crashes frequently and often gets into a loop of playing the exact same commercials over and over when opening the app. You have to close it and restart, sometimes more than once. Another glitch is that the rewind functionality displays but never works any more. I would give it 0 stars if I could. Sorry, WABE, still a big fan of the station, just not the app! Show more

Good God. For a “non-commercial “ radio station, you have to listen to MULTIPLE commercials before you can hear programming.

Extremely disappointed with this new version. Takes forever to load ( it’s not my wifi) cuts off unexpectedly, glitches everywhere. Awful.

I recently downloaded 4.5.39.1 and now it hangs when I hit the listen live button. It gets part way and just stops. I have to relaunch more than once to get it to start. Previous version I had (don’t know the number) did not have this issue. No complaints about content of WABE. Show more

Ever since the app updated, all I get is advertisements. It never goes to the radio stream. I have stopped using it and stream from the website. Please fix this issue. Show more

Enjoy the BBC world feed and the NPR programming. Mix that with lots of great music and it is hard to beat!

new app not working. stories don’t load. streaming won’t start without trying several times, sometimes it just hangs and i have to restart it. wasn’t having all these problems on the old app. Show more

I love being able to take WABE live radio with me everywhere. My only fm radio is in the car and now I have the freedom to listen anywhere!

I understand ads between stories, but not during. Audio ads seem to pop up every five minutes. Please fix.

I am very disappointed. Every few minutes programs are over run with ads. Today the most dominant relates to the High Museum. I thought the public fund raisers protected us from advertisements. One or two between segments would be acceptable. But the same ad interrupting programs every three minutes is a problem. The app also will just “hang” every 15 minutes or so. To correct it is delete and reinstalled. Enough to drive an avid listener nuts. Show more

Like other listeners, i experienced the problem where I get the audio feed for a minute and then it stops. I have to then restart the audio by pressing the play button. And then it only plays for a minute and stops.. This is very frustrating. I deleted the app, and re-loaded it yesterday. We will see if this helps. I have three bars of Wi-Fi signal throughout my home, so the Internet connection does not appear to be the issue. It would be helpful if either WABE or the F publisher would offer tech-support. But it appears that they do not do so. Frustrated in Atlanta. Rick. Show more

Keeps crashing and stopping audio

App worked fine for years (although the periodic, random sponsor announcements are annoying). Now, you have to reload repeatedly (and sometimes it doesn’t work) to get it to stream. Also the sponsor announcements usually come 3 in a row. Same announcement. Occasionally, I’ll delete the app and download from App Store, that doesn’t always work either. Incredibly frustrating. Not that it should matter, but I’m a sustaining member. Show more

From the moment I wake up through my day - NPR is a part of my life - especial programs, reports, analysis and the collaboration with BBC service. What else one needs to be updated in their global world. And the app makes accessing everything so easy! Show more
