This really needs to show the skills in the open position too. The only way to get it to do that is to hit the puzzle note thing and it shows them all over the fretboard. I don't want that. I want to see them in the open position. The other problem is it is there are no blues scales. So overall not too useful. Show more

If you know nothing about Scales this app is for you.. This app shows you several ways to use this app from showing notes to fingering each note on all scales. It will show you how to start each scale from top to bottom and back to the beginning of scale - the root note. I got the full package for my iPhone and iPad Air that includes all kinds of freaking scales - blues , pentatonic .. about 2 dozens of them and they have exercises to practice with for the stuff your working on..I’m sure I’m missing stuff but this app worth every penny of it!!! I’ve had this app a couple of years and the person who runs this app always got back to me . It’s a great app period!!! Show more

I like this app because of the design and scales. It’s not perfect, but it’s in the top three I think for scales.

THE UPDATE THAT WENT OUT DOESNT WORK!!!!!!!!! IT CRASHES EVERY TIME I TRY TO OPEN IT!!!

I love this app. I have even used it to ID scales that I play be ear. I like that you can touch a position, and it gives you sound of the note. Great for when I don't have my guitar in hand. Show more

I like this App very much. I'm a long-time player and this is packed with very helpful info to help you home your skills on the guitar.

Really like the app. Great for scales work. Contacted the developer with a feature request to automatically cycle through all positions when in continuous loop mode, and received a response very quickly. Highly recommended. Show more

It's well organized and easy to use, no complaints. Wait, I do have one, I have it installed on my iPad but its not showing up on my iPod or even in iTunes, maybe I have to buy 2 versions? Most apps will show up on both platforms with one purchase. Guess I will email support and ask. Show more

It's simply the best. Anyone whoever wanted to learn how to play the guitar then this is the app for you.

It does exactly as promised, clearly and thoroughly. It's like having a huge guitar reference in your iPad. I especially like having the option of showing the ascending or descending intervals to work on arpeggios. The icing on the cake is the fantastic support. This app is the best app out to visualize and learn scales. It won't make you a guitar god but you certainly will use every day to climb the mountain.
