Everything is quick, lightweight. Looks like 4 midi controller ‘knobs’ which (normally I hate on screens but) each knob graphic expands to full screen & it feels so smooth like butter… I dunno, if something goes wrong I’ll change my rating but off the bat, this is like “wow what a nice tool” & it’s free? Fantastic app for troubleshooting and connecting midi devices with iOS. I use it daily.

Only useful for iPad synth musicians. I want to MIDI out over USB or network. Don’t really care which, just make it happen and you’ve got a 5 star app.

I wasn’t getting any sound from my midi keyboard. This helped me narrow down the reason to the speakers (output detected by system but no audio out). Will definitely be using this in the future. Show more

This app is great for checking to see which midi cc values are being sent out by your keyboard controllers, making sure your iPad is receiving midi info you’re putting out, etc. a+ Show more

Ok! I use alot of Synth IAA's... to do alot, but from a practical perspective I use C3B3 organ every week live at my church. I play it through Tonestack's rotary and scanner pedals, all on my phone. I use different apps with 3 different MIDI controller's, depending on what's needed. All I can say, is that it BLOWS MY MIND that this app is FREE! This simplifies the WHOLE operation, in everyway, all the time, and I'm no expert- I'm very happy- Thank You! Wow. Unsure? Knock it off and SIMPLIFY! just GET THIS APP. I'd even say it's necessary for IOS MIDI app-playing artists and sound folks alike- BJMc- Chicago. Show more

I am using several midi compatible apps on my iPad. Each time I come back to my piano to do something, the first thing I do is power up my piano, turn on Bluetooth on my iPad, and open MIDI Wrench to reset the iPad connection with my piano's MD-BT01 Bluetooth adapter. It works every time. I do see that this app does a lot more, but I don't need any feature other than making the connection. The only reason I am not giving this five stars is because, if I take a break (20-30 minutes?) without turning off either my Piano or my iPad (and my iPad is set to never auto-lock), I sometimes discover my connection has been disconnected. Then I have to reopen this app (still running in background) and reconnect. As long as this app is still running in the background, it should wake up often enough to keep that connection alive. Why, Christian, do you refuse to maintain your apps? This is a very good, useful product that could be better still with the kind of active development most successful mobile-app developers embrace. You let JACK die for no obvious reason, and other apps just flounder once system versions change. If you worked on these apps - especially things with the potential to be useful to so many people doing music on this platform, like this and JACK - you might build communities that make the effort worth your while. Please consider regularly scheduling time to maintain your software. Show more

Nothing wrong with the app, but a pop up occurs on my iPhone 7 saying that this app needs to be updated by the developers and hence may slowdown my phone. Love the app - hope you're reading this! Please update it for iOS 10! Show more
