Beware! This app implies to be free, but it is not. I hate wasting my time. Be careful.

I have the most current version of the Mac OS. I purchased this so I could send my son some MP3s while he is abroad. (I record in .WAV format and needed a program to convert my files to MP3. I paid the $4.99 to purchase this program. It is two days later and this program continues to stop downloading and fails to install. In the end I have had to purchase a second MP3 converter app. I have filed for a refund. This is a total piece of junk. And yes, the other program I purchased downloaded and installed just fine. This app suddenly stopped working -- it wouldn't open an audio file to convert it. What was up? I knew it had worked at one point. Well, it turns out that (at least on my Mac running 10.10.5) this app will not recognize or open audio files with the .aif extension. If you just change that extension to .aiff, the program will open and convert an .aiff file, and all appears to be well. Of course, .aiff and .aif files are the same thing. Some programs (like Logic Pro) will export an .aif with a three-letter extension, while others (including Final Cut Pro) will export with the four letter extension. I rather resent the time I wasted figuring this out, and am posting this review so others don't waste time. It's unfortunate that the developer made us jump through this extra hoop -- and it might be the reason some users have concluded that the program just doesn’t work. It's such a basic issue that it makes me wonder if there are other quirks or issues I haven't discovered yet. Fix this, and it has the potential to be a good program. Show more

The best thing this product did was Exit From MP-3 Converter. Exited the program beautifully. Did not do a lick of work while the program was active, but had a nice smooth exit into Safari. I applied to Apple for a refund. Show more

Completely worthless audio files. What a worthless app!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS APP!!!!! IT IS A RIP-OFF!!!!!!!!!!

So…This app definitely has it's appeal, and I want to love it….but…15% of the songs that I convert and upload into iTunes are messed up. They're 4-5x longer than what they should be because they come out looped for some reason or another. I tried reconverting/reuploading them, but it doesn't work. Verrry frustrating!!! Show more

It's a professional mp3 conversion tool,very fast. I have a 9M mp3, set low quality conversion and the result mp3 only a mere 859k size with relatively nice quality. I love and highly recommend it. Show more

Simple, Easy and Fast This simple and easy software converted thousands for wav files for me, amazing fast. I encountered an error message and then contact the technical support address. I received and IMMEDIATE response. The problem was quickly diagnosed and explained to me what was causing it. This software is HIGHLY recommended. Show more

I have recently switched to a Mac. I had a bunch of .WMAs in my music collection. I looked at a few of the other similar apps and went for this one. It was easy to use and fast. Converted 87 songs in less than a minute. The only thing is it took a minute or so to relaise where they had been converted to. They were stored in the movies file, but obviously no biggie to move. I have spent most of the night trying ( and buying ) several m4a converters to mp3. This program is amazing and I am thrilled to write the first review. It is amazingly fast. It is also the only one of the 5 programs that I have tried that has 320 bit rate. The other 4 capped out at 256. The speed, amazing. I timed it, less than 45 seconds for a 11 song Brooks and Dunn album. I sort of took a gamble because of the price. The other 2 I purchased were 1.99 and .99 cents. I tried trial versions of a 10.00 and 20.00 program. Had to get them off the web site not here at the store. And tried at least 1 free one. I am not sure why I splurged on this one, did and not sorry for doing so. Meta Data is not preserved or I would give it 5 stars. Hopefully there will be an upgrade down the road to solve this.
