    No support
And, no support—“ Page does not appear to exist”. Nice. Can anyone tell me how to get it to display written note first? People who like the app? Help much appreciated, since developers offer none! Show more

    Not that good
This app does not really help me or my violin and it charges me $1 personally I don’t like it at all and I haven’t learned anything I don’t even think the buttons work! Show more

    It’s ok
I have all 3 for my students. It helps them a lot while they are learning a new string or as a reference for where a finger goes on the instrument. Assuming that they use it at home. I just use it with a mixture of other note reading methods (I Can Read Music by Suzuki is one of them). It would be better if you could touch the card and flip instead of hitting the flip button. You can’t get this for a laptop. Show more

    I wish it worked!
It looks like this was built once upon a time with the features my violin students need, but half the buttons don’t work anymore and the interface is extremely confusing anyway. Too bad! Show more

    Violin note cards
Great app. I learned to read music with it. The auto play feature is super and helps me gauge my progress.

    Very Helpful App!!!
I’m learning how to play the violin as an adult and had little knowledge of musical notes and this app has helped so much! The app’s appearance is quite “antique” but it has been helpful! The first slide allows you to choose the notes you want to practice (there is a violin visual and the notes are on it for you to choose). The next slides (“flashcards”) allow you to practice the notes you chose. You can also be quizzed on those notes. The “flashcards” are handy since they show you the note on the staff and then the back of the flashcard (click on “flip”) shows you where it is located on the violin and it also gives you the option to hear how the note sounds. Although the app could be a bit more user friendly and improve it’s appearance it really does provide what’s necessary to learn the notes on a violin and how to read them on a staff. I think it’s well worth 99¢ for sure! Show more

    Not Satisfied
Not the greatest app I’ve come across when trying to learn notes. It feels hard to use and a little bit confusing to me. Of course, I AM trying to learn on this app, but it isn’t the new notes that are confusing me. The controls are hard to deal with. This app/learning style just doesn’t work for me, and I’m hoping others have better experiences with this. Show more

    Doesn't Work
This app doesn't work at all. Dousing a dollar bill in lighter fluid and taking a match to it would accomplish as much as buying this app, with the added bonus of saving space on your phone. Show more

    Perfect!
This is exactly the app I was looking for. I'm a beginner and appreciate being able to pick the notes I want on my cards, and option to flip them at my own pace before moving to the next note. It even includes an audio of how the note is supposed to sound along with finger chart. Easy to use and clean layout. Thanks for creating this app and selling at such a reasonable price! Show more

    Just what I needed!
As an adult student completely new to violin AND to reading music, this is exactly what I was looking for: See the note / interpret the fingering / flip the flashcard to verify (or correct) my answer. When playing the violin, I get to a point where I know the song and no longer read the notes (although I try to discipline myself to still look at them). So flashcard study and the repetition it offers is the best way for me to drill it into my brain. And again, as a complete beginner it helps that I can select certain notes (currently learning in key of A, so I select #s when I study with the flashcards). Thank you for an app that helps me learn! Awful
Not functional. Don't waste your money.

    Great App
Great little app. It has helped me a lot while learning to read music. Especially when I'm away from my violin and have a couple of minutes for a break.

    I wish I hadn't bought this
This seems to be just flashcards. I need an app that allows my kids to test themselves on their notes and receive answers on their own.

    Awkward and not very helpful
We spend a lot of time driving so I got this app to help my daughter learn where notes are on her violin. It looked great from the pictures, but she got quizzed on flats right off the bat. After about 2 seconds she totally lost interest. She likes "I Read Music" (the best app I've found so far) for learning notes but I'm trying to find one that helps teach which finger correlate to which note (1st finger on the A string is a B). It's also cumbersome and not very intuitive in its design- like how to get to the next card. You hit the "shuffle" button but you have to remember to "flip" the card back over first otherwise you get the "answer" before seeing the note. Old fashioned flash cards are better than this. Pretty disappointed. Show more

    Not configurable
This app does not let the student choose the range on the scale or no sharps-flats, etc. not useful.

    Does not work at all
App starts and prompts you to tap to start. Tapping does nothing.

    Simply doesn't work
You have to touch the buttons several times in order to make them work, the settings button simply takes you back to the main menu and never lets you change any settings at all, and the whole interface is disjointed with spotty response. Would not purchase again. Sorry I spent 99 cents on this! Show more
