    Great App
I love this app in its simplicity and usability. All the most common scales clearly presented on a fret board. Option to have metronome on or off. Once you get a scale down you can try your hand at soloing over some tracks. Other useful options as well. Endorse! Show more

Paid for lifetime pass and no longer valid?
This app logged me out after an update and now wants money on subscription. I had access for years easily and referenced it all the time, but Im deleting all their products today and getting the classic basic instructor posters online somewhere. Show more

Recently purchased but have played for decades. This is the greatest!
I spent years playing guitar. Studied under an amazing jazz player from New Orleans. Began studying chords and scales intensely while playing in a band and the absolute best approach that unlocked the mystery of the guitar neck is in this recent app update. The CAGED approach is essential. Once grasped the entire neck is opened up to the mind. Well, here it is well presented. I’m impressed with this developer, he is responsive to guitar players and I heartily recommend the app to beginners and advanced players. Thx for such a great product! Show more

    Music lover
As a left handed player I must say that this app is what is a God sent. Wish all apps had left handed option. Thank you!

    Very helpful
This is a nice looking scale app and one of the easiest to use that I’ve found. It’s quick to change scales and roots so you can compare different patterns and positions. Easier than almost any other I’ve used. They include useful practice tracks to play over as well. Very good. Show more

    Do not download
This app automatically charges a monthly subscription after 2 weeks. That information was not mentioned in the product description and is a deceitful business practice/scam.

Just Grateful reviews for the creator of this app.
Great app, been using this app for couple years and I’m loving it. It has updated few essential scales which all together made available all essential scales to players they ever need. Never wrote reviews in my life so this is the first I’m writing because seems like the creators of this app understood my inner heart needs and understood guitar learners needs and feelings and put it together very well for easy to learn. Thank you a lots lots to people behind this amazing app. Best scale app I’ve ever came across till now. ❤️❤️❤️ Show more

    No bass support
Not very useful for bass players.

    A must have app
Scalebank and the companion Chordbank are indispensable apps while learning guitar. Both are comprehensive and easy to use. I use them every day, for months now.

    Stupid App
Like all other apps these days you have to pay like $5 a month to get access to any of the important scales. I would give less than 1 star if that was possible cause it just pisses me off when apps do this. Show more

    Bring this feature back!!
Love this app, I use it to learn scales all the time. Since this updated, I’m no longer able to hide the menu so that I can see more of the fretboard. Please bring this feature back Show more

    Redesigned
Minimalist approach showing 1 scale at a time, 1 position at a time. The color feature is a nice touch to allow you to learn relationships within that position easily w/o overwhelming students. The color emphasizes locations of 3rds 5ths & 7ths by color. Now students can find their own mnemonic shortcuts that will carry over to other scales. Only change would be to be able turn off labels, to operate by root shape & colors only. Another might be to selectively turn on labels for just 3rds, just 5ths, just 7ths, relying on root shape & label for the 1. Show more

Useful reference and recent upgrade is awesome
This is a useful guitar reference tool that covers a lot of ground.I recently thought I found a bug, but it turned out to be my own lack of music theory knowledge! My message to support was promptly answered and was provided resources which proved helpful. Show more

    One request
I love this app, only wish I could change the tuning to see scales in other tunings

    Issues with the latest update
I like the new update. Everything looks a lot cleaner than it previously did. I dislike how when you are in the caged mode you cannot see the notes outside that position to see where one position starts and the next ends. That was one of my favorite parts about this app. Show more

    A Fantastic App
I am very pleased with this app. It’s easy to play in any key using many different scales. There seems to be around 10 different style jam tracks to play with. Reggae, Metal, Country etc. it would be nice to see more tracks added down the road. Also an addition of chords and Triads would be nice. Over all this app is great. I would recommend it to anyone looking to broaden there knowledge. It helps you learn Theory but remember “You will only get out of it what you are willing to put in.” silent_theguitar_guy Show more
