    LOVE This!
Great utility for finding and cataloging my favorites! I feel like there are a lot of well thought out and implemented functions, including the search/filtering options.

    OK, not great
Not really worth the money unless you want to recordings of radio programming. Some stations I listen to transmit titles and artist in text. SonicWeb did not display this information.

    Good App! Works Well.
After Apple removed the Internet Radio feature from its new Music App. I needed an alternative. This is well worth the price. Simple, clean UI that is easy to figure out and use. And you can add any radio stream you like if one of your favorites is not already loaded. No regrets. Show more

SonicWeb, A Highly Capable Internet Radio Player-Recorder
I have been using SonicWeb to record programs from streaming radio stations for three and a half years and I find it to be a highly capable recorder with so many fantastic features that it only makes me want ever more! It records directly from the internet without the need for other streaming apps and provides two recording modes, the continuous mode which I normally use, and for stations that transmit title and artist meta data, a mode which will automatically split the recording into individual tracks by title and artist. In either case it includes a track trimming function that can be used to manually adjust the track beginning and end points so that they are just right. Recorded tracks can then either be organized into playlists within the SonicWeb app and subsequently be played with SonicWeb’s playback function, or the recorded tracks can be exported into iTunes where they become part of your iTunes library. All in all SonicWeb is a wonderful fully featured and highly functional recording app. The only important feature missing from SonicWeb is a fully featured timer based recording capability. Show more

SonicWeb v.2 on OSX 10.10 Yosemite
This is a decent app for playing & recording web radio, especially for the reasonable price. There are a number of similar apps that are easier to use, but which cost many times more (AudioHijack, for example, has a simpler interface & is easier to use, but costs $50!). The main criticism I have about SonicWeb is that its interface is rather complicated & isn’t very easy to figure out. The help menu takes you to the website with general instructions that don’t seem to cover everything. Also, it only records in the radio station’s streaming format, which means you have to use a separate audio editing app to convert files. But once you learn to use it, it does a good job of playing & recording streaming audio. Show more

    Neat program!
I first got this program hoping to listen to iTunes without ads. I needed to upgrade to Match to avoid ads on the non-streaming part of iTunes; there does not seem to be a way of avoiding ads on the streaming internet radio stations on iTunes or on other platforms. I have used this program to record from streaming internet radio so that I can download music onto the iPhone and be able to listen to it in weak reception areas. There was a station that I like that was not on the station list. I requested that it be added and it was added right away. Great customer service. This is a great program! Show more

    Great app
I researched all the available apps for recording streaming radio. All the ones outside the App Store are basically spam. There are only a few in the App Store that actually do what SonicWeb does, and SonicWeb is clearly the best. Great new interface. Developer immediately added stations after I requested. I switched to the Mac from PC recently and wanted to replace Station Ripper on Windows. This was a great solution. Thank you, Patrick, for a great app! Show more

Impressed with the app and especially customer service!
Amazed! Impressed! Thrilled! As I type this review my Mac is: simultaneously streaming four alternative rock radio stations, recording each individual song it detects, saving the songs as seperate files including titles and album art, and exporting the songs to iTunes! Wow! Apparently I can record up to 20 stations at a time! This thing ran all night, and according to notification center (it notifies you when it reords a song w/artist and title), I now have over 300 new tunes uploaded to the iTunes Sonic playlist! It is quite easy to trim and edit track info though the built-in Garageband/iMovie/FrontPage-ish graphic editor; though I’ve yet to need to trim a track becasue the software accomplishes this task with great accuracy. Individual tracks can be appended to playlists, sent to iTunes, or simply exported to a folder of your choice! How cool! This all works quite well…it’s intuitive, and I’m learning to look for stations with the highest bit-rates for superior quality tracks. CUSTOME SERVICE BRILLIANCE: The app has a main menu-bar icon for providing feedback directly to the app developer - Patrick Dehne. When I didn’t see my favorite Texas sports station on the list I submitted a request. Within a few minutes I was emailed with the news that my requested station had been added! Wow! Who could ask for more?! Overall I’m having a blast with this app. There’s a sleep timer too! The interface seem’s very iOS7-8ish — flat. I like the look and feel of this app as I’ve yet to read the manual…everything was intuitive. Show more

    Save Your Money
A good idea with a few nice features, but it has a very clumsy interface along with some mispelled words. It does work, but it takes a while to figure out how to navigate through it and I find the sound quality more tinny or over-bright than on the same radio stations I listen to with other apps and iTunes. I'm not sure why. The "Help" file is non-existent so far. Needs work and is certainly not worth $6.99. Show more
