This thing is as fun and easy to use as it is authentic. The only drum synth with which i have enough experience to compare it to is Waldorf Attack (which is great), and SeekBeats totally outshines it. The fidelity of its sound and the fundamental “down to business” attributes of its interface make SeekBeats one of my favorite additive synth apps. So many virtual devices in the eco system offer more and more to simply MAKE THE MUSIC FOR YOU, SeekBeats is all the way at the other end of the dial. I love this app. It’s a sketch pad turned instrument and so rewarding for experimenting. Get it!

I haven’t found anything else that begins to rival its’s sound shaping creative potential. I’m sure there’s others that offer similar depth but in regard to the most popular drum synths this is a totally different species (but what constitutes a “drum synth” appears to be an arguable topic). For me the emphasis of this app is on creating sounds more than immediacy of play because of the vast amount of editable parameters which allow you to star literally from scratch. Altho, It has great performance options & presets as well, There’s some good flexible drum synths that are plug-n-play quality, and can be individualized w/ a few quick adjustments and are more widely used because of auv3 convenience. no auv3 here but given the depth of tweaking that is possible, I don’t expect it to be. It sounds so good I can listen to the beats sans music while assembling them in the the great sequencer. Very simple to send beats to other apps. This is an incredible app. Show more

I love the way you can make your own sounds with this; it doesn’t need to be just drums. The randomization options are awesome. Great layout and it isn’t much slower to work with on the iphone. I really wish there were some more in depth midi control options for the sounds; as much as possible, but I understand the envelopes could be tricky since you can choose how many points you want to add for each one. An AU version would be nice. I hope development continues! Show more

I have a ton of fun with it. I'm a casual user, just like to play with drum machines. Very innovative and easy to use.

This is probably my favorite drum app but the lack of ability to sequence patterns is a huge problem for me. If we had that then would be five stars!

SeekBeats is a very good app. It took me a while to understand the workflow. I’m still trying to figure out how I want to incorporate it in my everyday routines. Where’s the user community? That would help me solve my issues fast. Overall it’s a great app. Show more

Great drum synth, no samples here. Extremely addictive seeking out new sounds with the randomization sliders for each sound. The effects add a whole new layer. Highly recommend this for all electronic styles Show more

Please add iPhoneX support and proper midi functionality. I’d be weary of purchasing this app as the developer hasn’t updated anything worth mentioning in years. There are a handful of other apps that blow this thing out of the water. Show more

Make it auv3 and you get 5 stars. This app sounds better than Arturia drumbrute. Really hoping for auv3.

As the title suggests, I love this app like crazy, but lack of midi control is killing my live set. You only have midi for 8 patterns and each drum for finger drumming. At bare min give us snapshot selection too... And snapshot - pattern combo presets. And more than 8 patterns. Or sell the engine to someone who will. Midi llearn should be on every feature like every other decent drum or synth app... Check patterning and ElasticDrums for inspiration. The sounds are PHENOMENAL though, and randomize features are fantastic. Please add more midi so I can really use those sound engines to their potential. AU3 for even more cred, make it an iap, take my money!!!! Show more

SeekBeats has an EDM analog feel that is similar to boutique drum boxes like the Jomox Alpha Base or MFB Tanzbar. It wreaks with attitude and has excellent editing control over each of the eight independent drum synths. The new effects board is killer with almost unlimited flexibility. Would love to have a song mode or pattern chain mode. Have enjoyed watching this product evolve over the years! Show more

You guys just updated for a play button in performance view, but I was hoping that we would get a pad to hear the sound that you are shaping with the Randomizer without having to create a pattern and have to listen to it the whole time and then go back and forth to the other modes to stop the sequence. ? I love the app and rely heavily on it but is it so much to ask for a simple PLAY/STOP button on the "Performance" screen? Super disruptive in a live setting to toggle back and forth between screens rather than remain in Performance mode. Please add this!!!! Show more
