Since I’ve updated I’m having all kinds of issues with the app on my iPhone 14. Once I’ve recorded a few takes the sound goes out to where it’s barely audible. Cannot figure out the issue. Show more

I use this app all the time to record ideas for songs and occasional conversations. It has editing capabilities and is everything I need in a pocket recorder.

Update 2021: I paid for this app in 2016. I have almost 100GB of uncompressed audio almost (~300 files) on 2 iOS devices. I have spent around 30 hours trying to develop solution for USB audio share/export that does NOT involve local network or slow upload to “cloud”. Instead of SIMPLE USB transfer like I can with photographs, this app has application file system sandbox which PREVENTS USB export!! This is a major failure of the app developer. People pay for this application for power features and functionality. SMB network share -barely- works! SFTP network share is totally broken. After 30 hours troubleshooting my only solution was to create a SMB/CIFS file server I started in a docker container inside my local linux PC and transfer via local network LAN This is way above skills that should be required to transfer audio files!! Why is there no USB file transfer?? Please! add this missing feature! I started using Twisted Wave Recorder around 2016 on iPhone 6. It was good and I made a lot of high quality recordings, but struggled to export the audio files. 2019, I purchased a iPhone XS and was unable to find replacement audio app that offered the core recording features in Twisted Wave. However, the audio export is still garbage, in 2021!! The developer needs to create a simple plist file and ship in an application update which will allow share/export via USB cable to be possible. This is basic application maintenance!! Application sandboxing in iOS is such a hassle now in iOS that this is mandatory for proper usage of this and many applications now. (VLC app for example does not have this issue with USB, and also handles audio files!) Show more

Twisted Wave audio editor is better. Even after you pay for features in this app exporting is next to impossible.

I use the free version of the app to record interviews out in the field. With COVID and social distancing, I try to use a lapel mic to record interviews, which works fine when recording via my iPhone using facebook live or recording video. But when recording only audio with the TW app, it won’t pic up the lapel mic, it just pics up the internal mic on the iPhone. Show more

I tried about 20 recording apps and this is the one. Simple, easy to use and no gimmicks. High quality (for a phone) and doesn’t distort the audio. Included VU meter is perfect. It’ll be used for recording guitar demos before recording in the home studio. Show more

As a music producer this tool allows me to use iOS like my Mac for editing and fx. Also get the Mac version!

I purchased this app just about a year ago because of the tools within the app. All of a sudden, I open the app and everything is locked up again as if I didn’t buy it. So, to verify again, I open all my purchased apps and yes, Oct 2018. The original purchase write up didn’t say it was only for a year and if that’s the case, I’m still owed. I’m not sure if they will reply because of the other reviews are still negative “missing” answers from the CREATORS of the app. I guess I have to take my business to a customer service pride company who provides the same services. I thought this app was ok till today. I wanted to delete a certain part but it deleted a different part that I wanted to keep.LIKE SERIOUSLY!!!!!?

I use this app to record band practices and song ideas. It doesn’t have the best user interface, but once you’re used to it, it works. And works great. The post processing options are as good as any you’d expect to use on a smart phone. I’ve been using this app for over four years and haven’t found a compelling reason to use anything else. It does what I need it to do between playing back ideas and sharing audio files. Affordable and functional! Show more

I would definitely give this a five star until today. I went in to edit my audio and all of a sudden the main function I have been using and what led me to purchase the app has totally disappeared. The function enabled me to choose a microphone sound which has been an incredible feature of this app. Now its gone and in its place is something called Audio Master which it says you have to purchase????? What is this all about? I don’t want to even use Twisted Wave if this feature is gone. Show more

I purchased the editing options and restored 2 purchases Of $3.99 and $5.99 but every time I import my file and try to export as an MP3 it goes from 50 minutes to 6 minutes. He used to work and I don’t understand why it stopped after I paid for this???? I am very disappointed ? Show more

I have to pay money to export a file and it’s like 4 dollars! This is on the computer and the export is free

I play Trainz Driver and I’m trying to figure out how to edit the horns on trains

I cut/edit music for my dance team and I’ve never had problems until recently when it stopped letting me import any recordings or songs. Hope that gets fixed!
