    Chord Poly Pad
I'm a GEE-Tar player. Cant read music, dont play a keyboard, just learned enough about MIDI to be extremely dangerous. But, I gotta say, Im having a blast with this app. And the developer seems to understand the things we need and want in EVERY App., such as AUV3, being both stand-alone, being hosted by AUM and most common DAWs, etc., Ableton-Link sync capability, MIDI In/oUT, bla bla, logical layout, intuitive, as simple as possible, both in-App Manual AND a downloadable PDF ( none of that no OFF-line PDF crap!). DUH! We want to look at offline manual on our older Ipads while figuring out the app on our new Ipad. Highly Recommend, one of the best values out there. Thanks Mr. Coulson. Rob H. Show more

    Great first impression!!!
Just downloaded this app and I am having a great time playing chord progressions. I Can’t wait to get into more of the detailed settings. This seems like a fun and useful tool to use with other apps to make music intuitive and fun again. It seems to have limited built in sounds in the palate, but I’m pairing with other synth apps to yield more variety of sounds. I had to channel the midi output settings a bit. Maybe I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I got this thing making music rather quickly. I’m thinking this has a lot of potential. Show more

Easy to Use, Easy to Customize, Extremely Useful
I use this app a lot because it is so useful in so many different work flows. Nice presets, a great chord library, and cool randomization make quick use a breeze. All of the deeper features that I want are there too. Customizing individual note velocities, global transpose, strum settings, MIDI-input of chords as well as midi triggering of chords … this app is really flexible once you get to know it. Great to use when making music on an iPad or iPhone. Also superb to use as a controller for a desktop DAW. Show more

Wish it had velocity input from Cubasis
Along with your other apps, I am finding myself wishing it had some realtime velocity control. I know this is possible from playing within the app but I would like to have the same capability with an external keyboard. Show more

    Change of heart.
I originally gave this 1 star since it was not recording the midi into beatmaker 3. I reached out to the dev and was advised on how to get it going. Now it works “ Beatmaker 3 does not record the MIDI from AUv3 MIDI effects. You need to use Beatmaker 3 virtual keyboard to trigger ChordPolyPad, then it will record the notes played by its own keyboard that will trigger ChordPolyPad. This is not a limitation of ChordPolyPad, but a limitation of Beatmaker 3.” Show more

    Amazing tool
Was great before and now auv3 makes it even more versatile. Great creative tool for playing expressive chords and coming up with new sequences especially if your keyboard skills are lacking Show more

I still love it, i’m just wondering
When will there be a real update to the presets? I understand we can create out own, but most users of this just know what sounds good together. Let’s get some more genre specific chord sets. At least name whats there based on key and scale and not sing names. Show more

No Live Velocity Input for Most Devices
This potentially great app has one glaring and stubborn omission; no performance velocity option. Why this is omitted is impossible to understand. “Touchscreen Velocity” as offered in the settings is ONLY for iPhone 6 screens and screens with 3D Touch. Please...please make this addition. You can offer real time accelerometer and Y-axis velocity and take this app to a serious level. Machine gun repetitions and two and three step velocity input holds it back. Thank you. Show more

    A goto must have tool!
Love the app. Great work. A daily go to. Only one request, an option to display notes as flats and not just sharps.

    Awesome app with great service
This app with audiobus, korg sound module and a midi foot controller has replaced my korg keyboard for gigs. Amazing service as well. All my questions were answered within 24 hours. I am totally impressed. Show more

    Chordpoly
My wife doesn’t know chords etc. but she’s in my duo nonetheless. We depend on this app a lot but wish we understood it better. Great app as far as we know!

    Best chord app yet
I've tried a plethora of chord and scale apps. None of them has the versatility of this one. The only thing that holds me back from 5 stars is the ability to play the single notes of a chord. It would be great if there was a switch on the chord note keyboard that would change it to the keys of the note of the chord selected. Chordion has that feature but this app, which I just bought because Chordion 2 hasn't come about, is still much better than Chordion. Love the app and some of the internal sounds are pretty darn good! Show more

    Excellent tool
I have enjoyed this app for years, and it continues to be one of the most useful tools I have for composing and studying chord progressions and voicings when away from a piano keyboard. Use it with the built in sounds for convenience, as a controller for other iOS music apps, or combine this app with the musicIO MIDI app, and a wired connection from iPhone or iPad provides a rock-solid, low-latency connection for chord input to your computer's DAW. MIDI over WiFi is also possible. The developer is accessible by email and is very responsive to bug reports—hence the recent update with a minor bug fix. The app has received many updates and improvements over time. Well worth the price. Show more

Works great as a Chord Note Pad
My favorite feature of this app is how it can be used as a NotePad, pun unintended. You can record chords and return to them at a later date, to study, learn progressions or write songs. Awesome job! ?? Show more

    Kmi 12 step!!
If you own a Keith McMillen 12-step keyboard this is the perfect companion for editing chords!!

    Really want arrpegiator
Even for those of us without iPads ( and thus can't buy your other app) this app is still great. But frankly I would love to somehow compose my own harmony for each cord part within the app. For those of us who can't play an instrument ( but still want be inspired when we produce music) such a feature would be a god send. The strumming feature is just to haphazard, if my suggestions to ambitious at least implement some form of basic arrpegiation thanx. Show more

    What We Need:
    - Ability to use external MIDI drum pads to play the pads. - need to be able to use Ableton Link to play the chord progressions at a set loop length. Then preferably at some point have the ability to switch between different progressions. Say verse, chorus. Otherwise a great app and worth the money. I really dig it. If you can solve these issues we could really have an amazing controller app here. Show more
