I’m having some trouble with polyrhythms under odd time signatures. For example, it won’t let me do 4:3 while in 7/8 time. Also, it won’t let me do certain subdivisions without crashing. I can go up to the 64th notes when doing one quarter note at a time. It won’t let me do more than 8th note triplets across two quarter notes. And if I try to subdivide more than that at a time, it’ll crash. I have this app on my iPad on an older version (1.5.5.3) and ironically don’t have this issue. Again, I’ve only noticed this issue working in 7/8. This review remains five stars because I’m a long time user and know this app’s potential. Show more

I love this app and have been using it since it was 3 separate apps before they put them all into one. One problem is the buzz rolls, they are impossible to make. When you make a buzz roll it just sounds like individual staccato buzzes, instead of a straight buzz sound. Please fix that devs and your app will be almost perfect Show more

I put up a review a few months ago and gave a 1 star rating. I was basically judging it off of the work that I had lost which was not fair. This review will be totally different. Aside from my work being lost (which I have on a different phone now) this app is really good! I’m loving the new sounds! The price might be a little much but for me it’s worth every penny. I definitely recommend this app to anyone that just want to write down their thoughts. It’s very easy to use. Like I said, the only downfall is the fact that you’ll lose your past creations if you’re updating from the older version. Other than that, it’s awesome! Show more

I really love this game. The only problem is that I can’t see the sheet music Of the song I created anywhere. In other words, I can’t find where to view the sheet music. Other than that, perfect. Show more

Purchased for my iPhone X and doesn't make any sound. No documentation. No support. So far, I am not satisfied with the app.

I recently had a phone stolen with this app on it and it was full of cadences, warm ups, etc. Now they’re all gone before I could write them out! I really love this app but it would be absolutely amazing if there was some kind of iCloud or backup feature to transfer between devices. Show more

The cymbals sound like loops rather than realistic crashes and they cover over everything. It would be nice to have options as far as how the drums are tuned. Also, the addition of southern style marching single Tenor/Tom drums would definitely be useful. Show more

I have bought the extension for sheet music, but I can’t view the file, I have just got MuseScore and it won’t upload to it. Please tell me which app/program I must get to be able to view the file as sheet music and then be able to send it to someone so they can view the sheet music version of it so they can learn and practice the piece. App is great. I like it’s set up. I don’t like how my export purchase doesn’t even export correctly. The app converts the sheet music to a .mxl file instead of the advertised .xml file. Fix this for five stars! Show more

I purchased all of the extensions but can only use the audio files which is fine. I just wish I didn’t waste the money on the other extensions. It would be amazing if the app could be updated more often because I use it almost everyday wether it’s to write, practice or help my students. I’ve recommended it to several friend despite the weird bugs. Hopefully these prayers are answered lol. Show more

I love composing random music off of the top of my head, writing beats, and I even use this to write new warmups and cadences for the high school I went to. This app is worth the money, and the extra features are great too. I can export sheet music to print, and I can export audio to play along with. No other app is quite like this, and this has a easy to use GUI. Perfect. Show more

This app has so many amazing and great qualities. I’ve read through some reviews, before and after I bought it, but I can say this for sure: “Nothing else like it.” The app implements so many unique features that many apps don’t. I’ve had this for about a year and a half and I’ve gotten help from it by doing so many things. I do have some suggestions though: 1) The tempo seems to be a bit off. I checked with a real time metronome, and what was the apps 60BPM was actually 47. It may be an issue on my end, but it’s still a bug. 2) An undo button is very needed. I find my self slipping up a bit (especially with split and tempo adjustment slide) and having to redo all of it. It’d be so much easier if I could just press a back button to keep it where it was. 3) It’d be cool if there was an option to just have solos. I find myself writing a lot for only snare, and it’s sorta hard to follow along when the bass, tenors, and cymbal’s empty spots are also there. 4) The distinctions in sound varies with what you’re trying to do, but some can be a drag due to sound quality. So maybe improving how each drum sounds would be great. 5) Finally, maybe being able to add a repeat for larger sections. I know there’s a repeat button, but there are some larger sections that would take a long time to do that with. I know this is a lot of stuff, but I don’t expect all of this to be added or much even make it. But they’re just for future thought. The app as is stands can do so much, but there’s also so much potential. Hopefully some things here are a little discussion over there. Thanks! Show more

this is really a great app...now hat i know how to use it. i wasted 3 months trying to figure out how to use this app. i wish there was an in depth tutorial as the tutorial it comes with is terrible. Show more

This app has helped me in sooo many ways as a performer, writer and educator! Totally worth the investment! I just hope that they keep developing it and add a sixth drum for the tenors! Show more

Yes, I know, this app IS $20, but why? It should be worth $10 the way it is now, but if can definitely be worth $20 if you add more drumline fonts (different sounds and pitches). As well as a sheet music user interface. Overall, it is a great app, because there is nothing else like it! Show more

The instruments aren’t entirely clear and some effects (rimshots) aren’t very different from the other. Also there aren’t half note rolls only eighth note which is very annoying and you can’t tie rolls to other notes. So in in reality there are no rolls in this app only buzzes. Also come on $20 for this. I’ve gotten free apps that were better than this. I’m 15 and I just spent all the money I had on this to get a mediocre app. If you want me to be happy and if you want five stars from me your gonna have to fix all of the problems I stated.
