Maybe it’s meant to simulate a live concert environment, but the app’s background while watching a stream takes too much space and is just distracting. Expect there to be shuffling avatars and stars flying across the screen covering what you actually want to watch. And the video that you’re watching only is about 60% of the screen when watching horizontally in the first place. Even streaming on YouTube would be a better experience because at least you wouldn’t have to see everyone’s speech bubbles and other crap covering your screen instead of just watching the video. Love the platform itself but it’s often unstable and it crashes too.

Sound does not work. I downloaded the app and clicked on a feed to watch. I see video but do not hear sound. I turned up volume and still nothing. I updated iPhone to latest os and still no sound. Show more

It’s really amazing. Showroom connects us with our idols. We don’t need to understand Japanese. I love this app because I can meet my oshi through this app. AKB, NMB, HKT and other idol groups used it. Awesome!!! Let’s meet our oshi through it. Show more

There seems to be a bug with the rotation setting on the iPad version it needs to be reoriented after every stream. Other then that it performs pretty great.

I don't speak the language but I still find it quite amusing. You don't have to know Japanese to enjoy this app. Might be either be a hit or miss for someone else. Give it a try. Show more

It's really good for connecting in a way with people in Japan. AKB members also use this.
