I have almost all of the SessionBand apps for ipad. I wish that I could export the chords from one app to another, instead of having to recreate in each individual app. Also would be great to combine them. These apps are just great and so much fun!!!!!! Show more

Just makes it so easy to come up with chord progressions and adapt them to fit your lyrics. My band thinks I’m a musical genius.

Too many to name and no, inter audio does NOT work. Very generic sounding as well. I was going to buy all of their ‘packs’. Glad I tried 1 and won’t try anymore. Show more

I really like these tracks, as a songwriter it makes it fun to write the lyrics and be able to edit the tracks to fit my lyrics. Wonderful and simple to use. Also very realistic and natural sound. Highly recommend! Oh and very easy to import into garage band. Show more

Makes you sound more pro if you’re not the best at making backing tracks and saves time looking for styles.

I have used this program to rough out new song ideas, create jam tracks and backing tracks for my vocals. This is a very versatile tool for creating great music at home. Show more

Nothing works at all. Just lots of distorted noise coming out. Worthless now. I'm in the middle of putting together a show using these apps. Couldn't be more disappointed.

I used to play music apparently too long ago, couldn’t figure out what to do with it, glad I tried it for free, YouTube vids were no help. Rating based on that alone. Show more

Soooo terrible, why do you constantly have to exit write mode to hear what you're doing?

Crashed twice in 15min and app does not respond to commands, frustrating because this is a good idea

You can't complain with a $9 app that does the same that my old zoom 1266 does almost as much for $1000 less. Add nirvana in the grunge, 70's queen style, and punk it would be a full 5 stars. I am having a hard time with the garage band app working with the program but I have the zoom that I can record right in. Get the Queen. Show more

Please update and fix the issue on 6+ when the headphone jack is used it freezes up the app!!! Having a degree in Audio production I can tell you this is completely unacceptable!!!! I want to run it through my Boss gt-100 or the aux input on my Amp and jam along but cannot. I would like a refund if a fix is not possible. Is a irig style interface the only way this software works?!? That's ridiculous. Some of us have multiple ways to utilize software like this and I can't even use the software the way I want!! I've been looking for something like this, and nothing else really does what this, and all the SessionBand apps, do. Mapping out the chords can be a bit fiddly, but it does get the job done. Great for jamming, writing, and even recording. Show more

SessionBand has got a good thing going. This is a great tool for getting down your basic ideas.It's very versatile and is easy to use.Hope to see a Rock version 2-3 version soon. Well worth the money. This is a great app! Show more

So amazing. I really wanted to have some nice, easy to program drums for jamming with. That eventually led me here. Let me say that even if all you use this for is to get some drums (you can solo the drum track), it’s awesome. But this app lets you throw together a chord progression and immediately play! bass, drums, rhythm, lead all there. Plus, say you want to practice your leads. just mute it the lead channel. Same with any of the other instruments (and i play all of them). You can easily change key and style of the whole piece in seconds. You can change the quality of the chords or the drum beat just as easily. play trumpet? you can display the chord chart in Bb without affecting what the backing band plays. Want to get better at styles? you can solo one the instruments and try to mimic what they do. It’s freaking awesome. I bought rock, blues, and all the Jazz volumes. If I had see the complete bundle I would have bought that. It’s so worth it. Show more

This app, and the others in the SessionBand family, are an invaluable tool for songwriters. Right from version 1.0, this app has delivered time and time again. The revamped app suite, with its new features (I'm loving the improved tempo shift especially!) blows even its illustrious predecessors out of the water. Truly one of the best music creation tools available for iOS today, and I expect it will be so for a long time to come. Excellent, excellent work, and well worth the price. Show more

Out of the box it works fine until you want to edit a track. Editing is very difficult and seems to crash the app. All Session Band apps no longer work with Audio bus. Instruments are great if you use it as is. Show more

Cool tones, easy to program. Playback stutters on my iPhone 4, but that's probably because the phone is old.

I purchased the basic intro, the acoustic, rock, piano and jazz (v.1). The potential for songs is unlimited. The drums alone on the rock session are worth the price of admission but with audio copy, the real power is being able to mix works from all the various sessions. I've built songs using chords from guitar, built a bass track and drums with rock session, added a piano part from piano session and put the whole thing in GarageBand. Show more
