Great app get it

Can load samples, and has a waveform painter, both of which are nice. But has no FM modulators or noise generators. So it lacks some features. Sounds overall sound kind of cheap, not sure why. Also, things seemed kind of glitchy. Keys getting stuck, or you reload the project and it sounds different, or you remove a reverb but you still hear it. Doesn't appear that the dev is adding new features anymore. Show more

Sadly, now it’s just a toy since all the “new” apps like NanoStudio 2 use AU. AU is right there in the app like a vsti. I’m only purchasing apps that have this feature going forward. Unfortunately, this app is legacy. I’ll never use it anymore outside of boredom. Hopefully they will implement AU, but I doubt it. They could, Synth One is saying it’s in the works for their app. We’ll see I guess. Show more

Could be best synth if few crashes and some new graphics and easier file import were available. Let’s give Mito and GScience some love and new features...please I have all your full audio apps as well and am shocked not to have direct export to your own synth apps! ? Show more

No real bottom end to the audio. I think the interface is very creative looking and the wave chamber is a great concept. I’ll probably use it for stringish pads. I hope it gets more robust in future updates. Show more

As an avid iOS musician who uses musical instrumentals on iOS.This app is real nice and creates even nicer high quality sounds.I often find myself wanting more out of it like more effects maybe LFO's etc. The simplicity and unique approach to sound design is very amusing.zi wish they updated it more and maybe added more control over the sounds.Nonetheless great app. Show more

One of my favorite iOS synths. Also Grain Science is top notch! I love these machines.

CPU intensive...Once you power through the learning curve this becomes an excellent addition to a sound designers tool box... The included presets pulled me towards West Coast style modular synthesis textures although you can use it more traditionally if you like but to that end I think it needs A better selection of presents. Minus one star for not including AudioCopy paste compatibility. Show more

I've had this app for a while now and absolutely love it. The sound, interface, and appearance are all top notch. It is perfectly designed for a touch interface, and I especially like that it is universal as well. I can work on a patch at a bus stop on my iPhone, then finish it on my iPad at home. Brilliant! I honestly can't think of any ways to improve upon it. Way to go! Show more

Just when one thinks that one has all the synths that one could ever want or need, this little gem shows how wrong that idea is. Overall it's an impressive addition to any synth enthusiast's arsenal. Mitosynth has a remarkable array of timbre, modulation, and effect options, presented in a non-traditional way. Instead of a mod matrix, it uses nested menus under any variable parameter, and there are a great many of those. Considerably more than most iOS synths have. Show more

Mitosynth is a very deep app. The wave chamber mixing approach is great, and you can use not only wave shapes but imported and supplied samples. The ability to keep on adding modulation at increasingly nested levels makes this synth unique in the iOS world. With that feature you can create patches that are continously shaped. Great for ambient pads therefore if one takes the time to do that patch creation, but also great for leads, basses, etc. as well. There is a comprehensive 34 page manual which is accessible right from the opening screen and makes navigation a breeze. There are also additional patch sets available for free on the net. Show more

Huge range of sounds and capabilities, but still dead easy to use on an iPhone.

I didn't dive into this gem at first, because visually it didn't lure me in like some others. I guess I eat with my eyes? My bad. Mitosynth is simple, instant gratification. Mitosynth is complex & rich in cerebral experimentation. I use it, and apologize to it, every day. Show more
