I love this app. It makes learning theory fun. The short, fun lessons improve your skills quickly within a game play style of reward and advancement. I've learned so much theory so easily. I'm also using it to learn guitar and piano as well. Each of the instrument's lessons are so clear and concise it's easy to remember what you've learned. That's priceless. I used this for the first time and already knew I had loved it!

Decent product but buggy. i'm a professional musician and went straight to the chord and interval identification section but it crashed repeatedly. for some reason, selecting which intervals to test on instead acted as if I had pressed the back button. iOS9 on iPhone 6s Plus Show more

I've done lessons on the online website version and all my progress transferred so I could continue my lessons on my iPad! I can't believe that a program like this exists and is so carefully thought out. Only thing is...more people need to find out about it! Show more

Once you make it to the sharp or flat notes, the program is broken. No matter how many tries at pressing the correct note - you get an X for wrong answer. Much potential here but useless at this time Show more

I stumbled upon the Ultra Musician App after years of searching for a method of grasping the complex system of music theory in a user friendly manner that would apply to my development on guitar. Prior to finding this app, it was challenging for me to bridge theory and my instrument, but I am finally beginning to connect the dots! UM is fun and easy to navigate (my favorite is the Guided Lessons), and I feel like every time I use it, my understanding is a bit more advanced when I pick up my guitar. I love stealing away from a busy day, putting on my headphones and playing a few rounds; it actually relaxes me, instead of stressing me out like the thought of theory used to. I am confident that as I move forward with these guided lessons, I will gain a solid foundation without having to work hard at it - a dream come true! So far, this app is specifically excellent for ear training, sight reading, music notation and conceptualizing the fretboard/keyboard. I look forward to finding out what else it has in store. It is also a much better use of my time than mindlessly scrolling through my FB Newsfeed. Download this App! You won't regret it. Show more

Once I got my bearings, I was amazed at how much this app had to offer. My main instrument is piano, but I dabbled in some of the guitar lessons as well. I was able to work on some of the usual skills such as reading music, which has always been my weakness. What was very cool is that you could learn to write music as well. Still, the best by far was the guided lessons area. I found that I could start with the basics and slowly work my way up to more challenging lessons. Super cool. Show more

Great way to practice intervals and chords on the go..it lets you pick guitar piano or bass (guitarist learning piano). Cool how it keeps track of my progress or I can make up my own lesson. Check it out!! Show more
